Tournament Ideas

First topic message reminder :

Ok as promised..
Here you can suggest a tournamnet idea which you think is good..but keep the followin points into consideration.
1- Check DA previous tournaments...We may have hosted it before.
2- Check ideas suggested before.
3- Make it reasonable please and don't just throw an idea based on banning decks.

i agree with nick it should be 2 becuase if there are say 5 prom abandoned and only 2 from slifer thats not fair lol we should give slifers a chance to prevail xD

I got an idea how about 3 people randomly get chosen for a god card slifer/ra/obelisk and whoever gets all 3 first gets a prize? or duels someone for the prize just a suggestion xD.

EDIT* Similair to the Millenium items except its God cards :D

And I agree with nick too, Slifers need a chance, I've been a Slifer one, and I never got a chance.

Guys can't you understand that you can't compare a slifer with an abandoned dark member they are graduated so they know more than slifers they have been here more than them their skills surpass slifers i don't like the god cards maybe if they weren't banned but we have other cards that can be gods like wicked god cards

i see your point which is why instead of having an uneven balance of dorm members, just have two from each dorm so it will be fair. And if not the Egyptian gods, how about the sacred beasts?

kira, there aren't that many Dark Dorm members that are active... only 3 ppl come to mind for me so taking 4 ppl from them would be a fail dorm tourney

We're talking about this event like its gonna take place first we need to hear other staff oppinion to so lets w8 for them

Well, Kira you might have a point, Slifers are slifers for a reason, but how do you expect em' to improve if they weren't given a chance to do so, if they were always ignored and thought of as inferior
I was slifer when I first entered, then I somehow became an Admin, and now I'm Ra again ^^ So, I don't think you should say that the Slifer dorm is not as strong as the others because they can be, but in time ^^

Also, the most number of duelists taken from a dorm - according to what your saying- should be to the dorm with the duelists that have the lowest duelings skills. That's because 2 very good duelists can do much better than 5duelists who've just started playing KCVDS. So, taking more duelists from a good dorm would cause them to dominate the tournament and them winning, obviously.

So, if you want this tournament to happen, the only way that it could run properly is with an equal number of duelists taken from each dorm.

You are right Unkown but hasn't there been a tourny like this ? its something like dorm war or something but i dnk maybe 2 from each dorm

Inter-dorm War sounds good. With a FE format it will be funner.
But I want some advantage for my mates o.O since we are facing the "pros" as you call them.

Now i remember we had a dorm war like this slifer could summon monsters with level 5 without tribute Ra started with 16000 lp and obe nothing

i really dont think handicaps are necessary for this. id rather have a fair competition, or if you do give handicaps for the lower dorms, then I will not use them =)

Yeah Kira, we had something similar to this months ago, I was in it, I remember.

I don't like any of the god tournaments, I don't like changing game rules too.

I don't think that having more obelisks/abandoned than slifers isn't fair. It is fair. What is the point of having ranks if it's not to give an idea about the duelists' level?

They have chances to improve in the numerous tournaments/events. They have the chance the chance to prove that they got better by getting a retest.

It wouldn't be fair for obelisk/abandoned players to have the same number from all dorms because making top 2 in a tournament full of good experienced players is alot harder than making top 2 in a tournament of people who started playing this game some weeks/months ago.

I want this tournament to be like a YGO version of the soccer world cup.

Even in the WC they don't get the same number from all continents, 1 or 2 from oceania and 13/15 from Europe. And they're right because every WC has 3/4 Europeans in semi, when africans rarely make round 2 or 3

BTW, I said top 5 from the tournament of Abandoned dorm members AND Staff members (not 5 from each) so I think that slifers and all other dorms have equal fair chances of participating even if the number is different.

Your comparing two very, very different things hamouda and you are forgetting to take the factor of activity into mind.
And you still don't get my point: if you make two teams, one having 4 excellent duelists, and one having 2 very new duelists. It is very, very, obvious that the 4 excellent duelists will win. Why? Because one of those four excellent duelists can take on 3 of the new duelists.
So if you go ahead and give slifer the lowest number - over the burden that they have the least skilled duelists(of course, according to what happened in each of their tests), it would cause the higher level dorms to win easy. So why should you give better duelists more advantages than they already have over other dorms :S

Anyways, this whole idea isn't very practical.

Well i have an idea about a tournament, any member can join before the registeration closed means there is no number of members that can join, so here is the idea.


(i will use rules form)
1. you will start with 3 points
2. when you win a duel (single not match) you win 1 point, when you lose a duel(single not match) you lose 1 point
3. you must duel at lest once each 2 days or you will be DQed.
4. only top 12 member will go to the next round
5. prove your win/lose wuth a screenshot , confirm here.
6. Follow the banned list for this tourny
Banned Decks: BW.GB.LS.X-Sabers.OTK.FTK.Mill.Stall.Burn.
Banned Cards: LaDD.DAD.Tragedia.

Name of the tourney : Hell and Hell Tournament

what about making a tourney that the winner continue with the left LP he had
I mean for EXAMPLE : Player 1 won on Player 2 with 5600 points
so,Player 1 will play the next round with 5600


and to make it more interesting we can give the winner 1000 LP to play with in the next round

and about the banned decks and cards , who hosted the tourney can decide it

i hope no one had taken it before. it's too long to check 8 pages.

Idea was hosted before i think...

Anyway i want to get Nick's idea done first so lets focus on that. Anyway i couldn't have said better than unknown "why should you give better duelists more advantages than they already have over other dorms"... it says it all

So finally do u guys wana start this idea or what ?

I like this ideea but as you know banning decks isn't very good why not just ban some cards like
Bora and kalut
Laquari and Bestiari
Celestia and Lyla
Emmersblade and Faultroll
Exodia the forbidden one
Royal magical library
LaDD DAD
Swords of reaviling light
And lets say the entire burn cards you can use up to 3 cards max (ex cylinder marshmallon etc)

This is the best Idea i see today the one with dorms its taking to much and it was hosted before

How about a Tournament with the only trap/cards allowed to be only equip cards? It should be fun.

What i don't get the ideea you mean only equip decks? like no torrential and others just cards like kunai with chain and so on?

it would be fun to see who could play is cards rught to have FTK or OTK
but we could take exodia deck

Not good FTK decks are for people that like to play by them selves wich is boring

I like Yugi Moto's idea, and i agree with Kira that we have to ban only some key cards like DaD, LaDD, Bestiari/Laquari, Foultroll, Celestia/Lumina/JD, All stall cards, Exodia the forbidden one etc...

New ideeas for Clear World Tournament
-We must have monster cards with all types of elements: wind, light, dark, fire, water , earth.
-We must have atleast 3 monsters with the same element ( i mean 3 or more wind, 3 or more dark... etc)
-Clear World must be face up on to the field from the start of the duel.
-No other field spell can be played
-Clear World cannot be destroyed or removed from the field.
