Tournament Ideas

First topic message reminder :

Ok as promised..
Here you can suggest a tournamnet idea which you think is good..but keep the followin points into consideration.
1- Check DA previous tournaments...We may have hosted it before.
2- Check ideas suggested before.
3- Make it reasonable please and don't just throw an idea based on banning decks.

What'll you get ?!

How About a Tournament Where You Choose 1 - 5 Letters and You only can use Cards With the Same Letters You Chose.

So i have a good one and idk if it was done or said .. what abou a tourney which each turn one player discards one card and draws one card .. and ban Dark world monsters :D

with that rulle we could see the skills of each player playing with a unknown deck, sounds pretty cool to me

I must agree with KuzKan cus i like the ideea, but instead of the hoster to buyild the deck, he must only give us the name of the deck and we should build it.

Maybe i didn't get the ideea the letters we chose must be the only one s in the cards name or the cards name must start with one of those letters?
If so its easy and boring i could chose b=black wings alot of cards but if you means with only the 5 letters thats hard

Well It's Suppose to be 1st One You Stated. Well We Can Limit The Number Of How Many Same Archetype Cards We Can Use.

yeah could be it, but will be a great challenge i think
the hoster in each round says 2 decks, and in that round all the duelists got to choose one of them and use them , nice drakon ^^

Hmmm as a reply to Kira .. .we can simply ban exodia as it is alread banned :D

How about a tournament where we can only use unlimited cards but only 1 of each and we are allowed to use 1 banned card. The Extra deck is also affected by the rule so we can't have limited or semi-limited cards there, only the limitation of using only 1 does not aplay in the Extra Deck.

That's a perfect idea, I may host it.

Don't like the Rule but if other staff agree do it

i just dont like the rulle that just allow us to use one copy for card :S

If i didn't put that rule the tournament would be boring, also this will show how skilled the duelists that particapate in it are.

Alright then, I will host that tourney after one of the current ones is over.

Just an idea (i hosted this kind of tourney at KC 2 years ago, people
reflected that they liked it) , well i am element and type based
tourney fan, what about an element tourney, where everyone can only use
1 attrbiute ( only 1 attribute in main+extra ((or side, if allowed)) ,
BUT every player gets a random attribute. (lets say, we are 36 players
in the tourney : 6 attributes for 6 people) . In this method one can
only pray for his favourite attribute and therefore needs deckbuliding
skills too, if a LS fan has to play with FIRE, or a stubborn DARK user
has to play with wind monsters. Also, it would be a vital rule to not allow same attributes face each other in groups, or pairings unless its the final and only 2 same attribute guy remained (same element vs same element duel is not fun)It is even further spiceable, like
allowing 1 banned card for every attribute. (which fits for the attribute theme, for example Ring of Destruction for traditional burn fire deck)
Any opinion or adjustment to this idea?

PS : I just realized that the Chaotic Battle of Elements were similar, but still i am curious about your opinons.

ya as said it was hosted before..so although it's interesting it'd be borin to get hosted only in such a short period

What abouth a Vanilla deck tourny with Normal Monsters only.
Or a Clear World Tourny on wich all the time, Clear World is face up on the field, and no other field spells can be played.....

There was already a Tournament with normal monsters, I used to be the host.
About the second idea, not that bad.

Not sure if this has happened yet but what about a Dorm Tourney. You set up a tourney for each dorm and get the top duelist from each dorm and then have the top duelists face off. It prob isnt the greatest idea based on rankings but it would be interesting in my opinion

tourny for slifer leader?

I like nick's idea

I suggest making a tournament for slifers, ras, obelisks, Dark abandoned+staff (1 tourney)

and in the end of the tournament we take:
the top 2 from slifer tourn
top 3 from ra tourn
top 4 from obelisk tourn
top 5 from abandoned & testers dorm :D

2+3+4+5= 14 (damn sucky number xD) to make the number cooler we add the 2 last tournament winners! (ofc they won't be allowed to play in "the qualification" dorm tournaments since they already have their spot)

I like it cuz it reminds me of the WC system ;D

shouldnt there be a bigger number of slifers rather than abandoned dorm? my thought was 2 from each dorm if not already the best of each dorm

i love that idea, but we should get even number of ppl from each dorm so that its fair

I agree with Hamouda and Nick taking more slifers than graduated is useless we have to take the best and in my opp taking more slifers than grad is unballenced couse the level of the slifers is lower no offence

well i was thinking more along the lines on having the weaker attempt to improve but i see your point. How about Blitz's idea and have an even amount from each dorm?

well i was just saying that it wouldn't be fair for those in the lower dorms . . besides taking a lot from dark dorm or obelisk would also take the fun out of the dorm tourney
