Tournament Ideas

Ok as promised..
Here you can suggest a tournamnet idea which you think is good..but keep the followin points into consideration.
1- Check DA previous tournaments...We may have hosted it before.
2- Check ideas suggested before.
3- Make it reasonable please and don't just throw an idea based on banning decks.

So if the Slim Turnament will be on then the frog decks should be banned..... since evereyone will use that deck...

This is not a KO Tournament like the others,this is a league like in football - La Liga,Premier League,Serie A
There will be a deadline for joining the league,and it can be joined by as many players possible
You must duel each opponent 2 times,which means the result can be 2-0 or 1-1
The Champion of the League Tournament is the player with the most wins
All the results are sent to the League Tournament hoster,and must be confirmed
You can use whatever deck you want
You can change the deck when dueling the same opponent

I like it and you get points as in football games 2-0 3 points 1-1 1 point you lose nothing happens
Dnk about the last rule you can change deck in same match maybe you should side deck and change deck if you want in the next match
What do you guys (staff) think do you like it too?

I like the ideea ( even if in not a staff >.>) Also the i agree with Kira too, we can change deck in the next match.

considering that we'll accept 16 ppl only (which would be unfair), it means that each one will have to play against 15 persons twice, so 30 matches, 1 week for each match so 30 weeks, abt 7 months! People won't stay active for 7 months, some will leave during the tournament which will create problems. Giving auto-win to some ppl would be unfair. So I don't agree abt this.

Then how about each player once thats 15 duels and i'm positive they can duel more than 2 members a week
Or we could say 15 dels=15 days thats 2 weeks and a day to finish theyre duels and the ones that will join must be sure that they won't go anywhere those 2 weeks

In general, never pretend that people will be able to do more than 1 tournie duel with a specific person each week. That's about how long it takes for everyone to get a single duel/match in. This is because people have lives and different time zones. Your expectations on what people are willing/capable to do are a bit too high Kira and I will agree with hamouda on this one. I don't feel that a tournie should be hosted if it will be up for too long a time because that will more often than not result in the tournie going inactive and not ever finishing.

To tell you the thruth i saw this on a site not an academy and it had 40 or 50 can't remember members and they all did theyre duels

Agree with you, it's going to be like a League that needs Higly active people and this gonna extend to Winter when people usually be quite inactive.

how about an Old school style tournament where we can't use E-Heros, D-Heros, Synchros or new cards.

lol... nice idea, however defining an old school deck would be pretty hard: even without synchros/heros always some new decks will be playable like machinas.

Let's say you can use D-Heros, E-heros. No tuners, synchros and Machina and anything cards not related to GX or old yugi... Hwo about that??

What about a tourney with fixed time in which when you deal 4000 Damage to your opponent you score a goal (no matter how many LP he had) and when the time finishes the one who scored more goals will win. (Maybe a limit of 30 seconds per turn).

hero tournament?i dont want to be rude but it stinks
if u want a tournament related with the animes
we can make a GX TOURNAMENT,with each character deck
its like this..the hoster creates the decks of all GX characters
and players select their character and take the deck
and then we duel

It excilent idea i sugest that we have GX tornement

I dont like any of thus ideeas.... if we have GX turnament all will use Jaden's deck, and if we have Hero turnament all will use Zero o Evil gaia deck x.x

What about All Stars Turnament ( not like the one from KC ) A turnamen on wich we must have monsters in our deck with lvls from 1 to 12. ( just a crazy ideea)

Nea all are bad now that i think of e-hero tourny anime tournaments will suck couse some characters are more overpowered than others so all the staff will say no we even had one like this but was closed becouse of some fights and stuff
A deck with monsters from 1 to 12 thats not really good that will mean you must have like 8 monsters that need to be tribute summoned and its hard


BTW Ripper why don't you suggest the blue vs red team tournament just to see if most of us like it

how about a tourney in which u lose 500 lp every turn plus a 100 for each monster you control

I'll say this yet again. Please listen this time. It is highly unlikely that if you want to change the basic rules of the game that your idea will be accepted. Limiting cards or making themes is fine. Having unique formats is all good and fun. Changing the mechanics of the game is not what this site is about and I am not in favor of awarding people with DP for tournaments that don't follow the real rules of Duel Monsters.

open up
32 inscriptions and build up 32 decks. in each round
of the tournament ramdomly a deck is choose to a competitor and that competitor
has to use this deck in this round, just to see each player's ability to
use the deck without knowing.

resume: in each round each player will use a different deck ramdomly choose

You mean someone has to make 32 decks ? and give them to a random person?

im not sure what you are saying, 2 players cannot play with 1 deck ?? in any case i like to make it as simple as possible ie
just a deck running 2 copies of earthbound immortals

I think what he means is that each round the host or staff make 2 decks. Then in each matchup, 1 player plays with the first deck and the other plays with the second deck.
