The Garden
The garden has always been the area you could come back to after a long and difficult duel in the arena. With its clean air and many plants and flowers to soothe your nerves, it's an incredibly calm place for a colosseum to have, almost like an oasis in the desert. It's right outside the gladiators' living quarters.
Area Effect Table :
1: Calm :
You feel a light breeze. It's slightly cold.
2: Storm :
As you begin to play, a storm kicks in. The heavy wind causes some of your cards to blow away.
"During the first standby phase of each duel in the match, banish the top 5 cards of both players' decks. No card effects can happen as a result of this."
3: Smell :
While you are dueling, you can suddenly smell something extremely sweet. It seems to have a negative effect on evil creatures.
"All DARK attribute monsters lose 300 ATK and DEF."
4: Bugs :
When you first shuffle your deck to begin the game, you spot something dark out of the corner of your eye. When you look properly, you see 4 relatively large insect creatures fighting. You just know this will coincide with your duel somehow.
"Both players start with 2 Angry Bug Tokens (Insect, Level 3, 1000 ATK, 1000 DEF) in Defense position. Either player can choose to Special Summon 1 Angry Bug Token instead of conducting their Draw Phase."
5: Roses :
You realise that you've started dueling in a rather unusual place; there is a large rose garden between you and your opponent. Despite the size of the garden, all of the roses appear to be black.
"When a monster(s) is Normal or Special Summoned, halve its attack."
6: Overactive :
The garden is absolutely buzzing with life, with flowers in bloom and creatures of all kinds knocking about. Maybe this isn't the best time to duel? Never mind, the show must go on.
"Roll 3 more dice on this table. Apply all results. Count duplicates, including any 6s, as a result of 1."
