I've been trying to teach a kid I know to play Yugioh, but it's not going very well. He made this.

Tell him to read my deckbuilding guide. 'nuff said. Once he understands how to build a deck he can read other articles on this site and get a better feel for the game.

Ok guys thats just mean ._.

Now then have him read neko's article then tell him to focus on only one of those decks he be trying to mash together. Gravekeeper beat down might be best for him scince hes new to the game and all that. Also make sure to remind him that 40 cards are better then 60 cards.

mathematically speaking, yes 40>60, depends entirely on content though.

It's not really that bad for a first deck, I mean he got some basics right. Before reading the ultra complex neko's guide you just tell him to downsize the number of cards to 40 and to stick to one single archetype, other than that tell him to remove the god cards, and see how it does. When he gets a better grasp of the game make him rid the ancient biblical guide made by neko in the ancient times.

Thanks for all the advice everyone. I think he's a little young to read, understand, and care about a long article like that though. No offense Neko; your article's amazing. I just don't think an eight-year-old would be able to fully appreciate it.

I agree fully with Edwards posts

In regards to the list in the OP
It is a big deck that is several trollish deck concepts/ideas in one deck
That is a standard first deck
Noobs always make troll decks and usually large decks

A strategic mindset in a deck usually comes around when they're older.

When you're older, you either dump the game and call it stupid and for kids,

or you lol at the noobs who ragequit and call games they don't understand stupid and for kids.
