Scenario 3

Your task is to write down what happens in each scenario and give detailed information why it happens like that. Afterwards, you need to give a simple but effective conclusion about these things in general.

player b picks one of the 2 monsters he didnt bounce back and player A and player B still swap monsters

Scenario 2

Player A has 1 Monster on the field. Player B has 1 Monster too. All of them are face up. Player A activates Creature Swap. Player B chains Compulsory Evacuation Device and bounces his monster to hand. What does happen next?

creature swap effects dissapears as player b has no monster on the field

Scenario 3

Player A has 1 Monster on the field. Player B has 3 Monsters of which 2 have the highest DEF. All of them are face up. Player A activates Smashing Ground. Player B chains Compulsory Evacuation Device and bounces one of his monsters with the highest DEF to hand. What does happen next?

the other monster with the highes defense gets destroyed instead

Scenario 4

1) Creature swap does not target, therefore the monsters are chosen at the time of resolution. Since Player B has 2 monsters on the field he must give control of one of them to the opponent. He also went -1 and slowed himself down for no reason. Y u no target Player A's monster newb Player B ?

2) When resolving Player B controls no monster so the effect disappears.

3) The monster with the highest defense that left on the field is destroyed,. Smashing Ground does not target as well, so the monster with the highest DEF when resolving wins a trip to grave. Player A is unable to choose between the 2 monsters because at resolution there is only one of them face-up.

4) Monster with the next highest defense gets destroyed. Don't make me repeat myself, just look above, paragraph 3, second sentence.

Conclusion : Smashing Ground and Creature Swap do not target, therefore the effects apply only to the monsters which are face-up on the field during resolution. In case the activation requirement of those cards is met but because of another effect there are no monsters to be affected, the effect will dissapear.

Additional Comment :
Boredom got the better of me

mimgrim your answer was incomplete because there was no conclusion in it.

vem gives detailed answers to all scenarios including good conclusion at the end, therefore wins 100 DP.

Additional comment: Player B is indeed a newb.
