Duel Academy
Hello and good day to everyone! The countdown to one of the biggest event over ALL KCVDS communities has once again started, Welcome to YCS Duel Academy #2
For those of you who don’t know, YCS are the Konami-sponsored IRL tournaments that take place in North America. This tournament will follow all pertinent Konami rules which means:
Deck Rules:
1. March 2011 ban list is in effect:
2. You must PM me with your full deck list including Side Deck and Extra Deck. You are allowed only 1 deck for the entirety of the competition. Deck lists should be divided into categories of Monsters, Spells, Traps, Side, and Extra. SEND ME YOUR DECK LIST, NOT A PICTURE OF YOUR DECK LIST.
Tournament Setup:
1. There will be a number of initial Swiss System Rounds, where each round you will be paired with someone who has won the same number of matches as you. The number of these Swiss Rounds will depend on the final number of competitors for the tournament.
2. After the Swiss Rounds are completed, the people with the Top 16 scorers will proceed to a single elimination tournament. At the beginning of this tournament, all of the deck lists of the Top 16 will be posted. Yes, this means you will automatically know what your opponent will be using against you EXACTLY.
3. All pairing for both halves of the tournament will be made using CHALLONGE.com There is a possibility that you may play the same person more than once during the course of this tournament.
4. All duels are match duels. You will play best 2 out of 3 and are allowed to use your side deck after the 1st and 2nd games. If you believe that your opponent is abusing KCVDS by using an "infinite side deck", PM me with the cards he sided and I will tell you if those cards are actually in his deck list. It is grounds for DISQUALIFICATION to use cards other than those in your submitted deck list!!
Registration:
Please include the following information in your registration:
Time Zones will not factor into pairings. They will be displayed next to your name to make it easier for you to find good times to contact and duel with your opponents.
Again, please note that along with your registration you are REQUIRED to PM me with your FULL DECK LIST. If you do not do this by the time the tournament begins you will be disqualified.
Since we want this tournament to be as big as possible, I will not be setting any exact dates for end of registration. Instead, I will just wait and see when it feels like no more duelists are entering. At the most, this will take 2 weeks, however registration could end sooner than that if we get a bunch of applicants all at once and then very few register after that.

500 DP
3rd Place Prize:
1000 DP + Userbar + Dorm Upgrade
2nd Place Prize:
2500 DP + Userbar + Title (if desired) + Dorm Upgrade
1st Place Prize:
5000 DP + Medal + Userbar + Title (if desired) + Upgraded directly to Graduate Dorm
