Big Boss Tournament [Ended]

Welcome to the Big Boss Tournament! Here duelists build decks based around a chosen boss monster, then go head to head to discover who is the biggest boss. The rules are simple; select a boss monster from the list below, and build a deck around it. Your decks must focus on your chosen boss monster. Unless a boss monster requires other listed boss monsters to be summoned(i.e. Armityle the Chaos Phantom), you cannot use other boss monsters listed in your deck, just the one you selected, with the exception of Nordic decks, as all the synchro monsters can easily be summoned in the same duel.

You can suggest a boss monster not listed, and if it is deemed fun and fair(not to mention an actual boss monster), build a deck using it. The suggestions that are allowed will be added to the list for when the next Big Boss Tournament is held(an event likely far in the future, barring any unexpected happenings.

You cannot suggest the following boss monsters: All Yubel cards, all Elemental/Vision/Masked HEROES fusions not listed, Shooting Quasar Dragon, Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode, Cyber Dragon Infinity, and more to be added as more surface.

You cannot run: FTKs, burn decks based around cards not on the boss monsters listed, alternate win condition decks with cards that are not any of the boss monsters allowed(i.e. you can go for Venomminaga Instant Win, but not Exodia), Clownblade Engine, and large amounts of stall cards(anything more than 6 cards that solely stall[Marshmallon, Messenger of Peace, Gravity Bind, etc.] is considered a large amount)

This is a TCG+OCG tournament using the latest TCG banlist. However, certain cards will be banned despite the format to help make play as balanced as possible and promote diversity.

Traps: Bottomless Trap Hole, Vanity's Emptiness, Torrential Tribute
Extra Deck: Shooting Quasar Dragon

Furthermore, certain banned cards will be put to 1 to make it easier to summon the boss monsters. Thus the tournament will be held in the Traditional Section of DN.

Spells: Pot of Greed, Heavy Storm, Graceful Charity

Multiple people can select the same boss monster, but try to read previous sign ups and select a boss monster not yet selected at the time of your sign up for the sake of variety.

Decks must be submitted, but are not due until your first match. Once you submit your deck, you cannot alter your deck, but before that, feel free to mod your deck as you see fit.

The winner will be determined by total points in a Swiss Round style tournament. Games are matches, with no siding. Additional matches will be held in the event of ties for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place(I had a hard enough time getting the DP to host the event AND offer prizes).

Bring that tally to three, since there is a suggestion clause I put in, I gotta add in some more things, and Jv, I'm only human, I can't think of every thing that could be a boss monster. But Earthbound Immortals, and Jibakushin will be added.

Remember to use proper sign-up, just so I have a good idea of who's actually signing up and who's suggesting boss monsters that should be on the list.

Well duskmage you hate SAIOU too, but well if I can use ARCANA EX maybe ill join, OR TRAGEODIA OR SPHINX series.

Trag is more of a hand trap IMO so no as a boss monster, but feel free to use him in ypur deck. The two Arcana Force EX guys, again, I'm not capable of remembering every boss monster. And I'm assuming you mean Andro Sphinx, Sphinx Telia, and Theian the Great Sphinx when ypu say sphinx. Theian can be a boss monster and will be added, but the other two are more of big beat sticks.

No to side deck for balance(even common side deck staples like the Imprisoning Mirrors can shut down many of the boss monsters) and as to the earthbound immortals, Sure, since any deck built around one earthbound immortal can easily summon any of the others.

And Para is in, so if you are serious Jv, we are at maximum player count soooo . . .
