I would like for this deck to be as competitive as possible. I would like the focus of the deck to be centered around counters still. Feel free to add or take away a lot of cards in this deck. I would like this deck to also have an extra deck. Thank you for all the help!

I dont know much about spellcounter decks cause they seem too slow for me, but even i can notice some problems, first off you need more than 1 magical city, doesnt your whole deck kinda revolve around that card? And the last time i saw united we stand and mage power was in a morphtronic deck, and that idea died in 2012. now defender is pretty good, but also have you thought about magical exemplar? Also since spellcounter's revolve around spells, try and limit your traps, also try and find a good way to stall your opponent until you can get a decent amount of counters on the field to do some big damage. And for extra deck why not tempest magician and arcanite magician?

ive been playing around with this deck the past few days. I tried keeping the core of your deck in tact while making it more competitive. Im most cases it wont stand a chance against meta decks, but i do think it has a good chance against lower tier decks.

The main strength of the deck is using Arcanite magician and its fusion counterpart while citadel is on the field to take out your opponent's cards. Ill explain some of my choices.

BLS and Chaos Sorcerer are simply because the deck contains plenty of light and dark monsters. It just makes sense. Dark Red Enchanter works great in the deck. Summonable by Magicans circle and dimension, but best if normal summoned. I quite frequently got him above 3000 atk and its a card that works well with citadel to discard your opponents cards and retain its atk boost. Magical Exemplar is the easiest way to SS in the deck and it has decent enough atk. Summoner Monk was an obvious choice, try to discard less useful cards like upstarts or terraforming/citadel if you already have 1 out. The 3 tuners are levels 3, 2, and 1 to easily synchro. Allure because their are 12 Dark Monsters so why not. Instant Fusion to aid in synchro summons. I dont usually like decks to run Upstarts but its nice to get to citadel faster and if its already out its a counter added plus another card. Magical Dimension and Wonder Wand are great ways to get rid of either a used flip summon monster or an Arcanite magician with no counters left while drawing extra cards. It of course can just be used to give an atk boost needed to get over a monster. I went with 2 Citadel + a terraforming cause obviously its important to get citadel out quick but since its almost never destroyed running 3 would just lead to extras sitting in your hand. Dark Renewal is a great card as well to disrupt your opponents plays while getting out any of the 11 monsters you can summon with it.
