See it's the complete opposite for me. YGO is hella lot cheaper these days then compared to when I played / collected them. When I was younger it's £2.50 for a booster from a really old set and £5-6 for a booster from a new / newer set but now all boosters are between £2.50 - £3. Even the price of starter + structure decks have dropped dramatically.

Packs used to cost around 50 Lera back in Syria, that's like 1$ or something lel

I don't like the fact you were pretty much paying nothing for your packs.

They were cheap, and not many buyers there, so they had to sell it for a good price. :>

And then there was me in England paying ridiculous prices for the same thing.

Tbh cards are fairly cheap if you arent aiming to buy the best cookie cutter build of the latest metadeck.A lot of staples go for 0.50-0.10 cents and with 3 starter decks you can have a competitive deck that can win against meta decks if you play smarter/use floodgates or some tech that counters meta cards.
Also people irl are lazy so if you build a deck you can sell it at events and get double the money that you have spend on it.
