For a while now, a few good years, Duel Academy ranked hundreds, if not thousands of members in three different dorms: Slifer Red, Ra Yellow, and of course the almighty Obelisk Blue. In addition to Abandoned Dark Dorm, which recently turned into a League.
The way we see this: Abandoned Dark Dorm isn't really required nor represents the elite of our players. It was a curse for whoever joined that dorm turns inactive and gets busy with life - just as if they were swallowed by darkness! Hence we figured it's about time to burn the old dorm down and build a whole new one, also have it painted in white.
The new Society of Light will be replacing the Abandoned Dark Dorm/League.
I'm sure that for a while now you've been wondering about the 'Society of Light' banner that we've added to our Index.
First of all, we're still working to sort things out regarding the addition of the new dorm, however, i figured perhaps we should "shed light" on this Society of Light thingy.
The purpose of this dorm is to hype our skilled players to seek even new heights in this game. We also made sure to restrict it only to those whom truly seek it.
The point behind this dorm is not to stack members, it's rather to select a few instead. We're not looking to make it crowded, and we made sure to have the rules of joining this dorm to be fit in order to serve such purpose.
The methods needed to join this dorm has already been added to our guide, however, I'll gladly post them down below so everyone knows what they're required to do in order to get there.
Note, that this dorm won't be up until a few days - 2 or 3 max.
The rules are as following:
1. Win a World Championship Qualifier as an Obelisk Blue
2. End up in Top 2 of DA's World Championship as an Obelisk Blue
3. Win any other Major Event hosted by DA as an Obelisk Blue
4. End up in Top 2 in DA's Circuit season as an Obelisk Blue
5. End up in the top 4 in at least 10 tournaments as an Obelisk Blue.
6. Sell at least +100 decks from your deck shop as an Obelisk Blue.
You might have noticed that you must be Obelisk Blue in order to have a chance at entering this dorm. You might also have noticed that none of these methods is easily accomplished, you need to be really good to get one of these done. It's going to take a while for some of you, we're quite aware of that.
This is all we have to say for now, I don't think there is anything else left that I might have missed.
Again, as a reminder, this dorm won't be up for a few days. However, i thought making an announcement is necessary to make sure everyone gets a good notion on the new dorm.
