[Card Discussion] Apoqliphort Killer

Cannot be Special Summoned. Must be Normal Summoned/Set by Tributing 3 "Qliphort" monsters. This Normal Summoned/Set monster is unaffected by Spell/Trap effects and the activated effects of monsters whose original Levels or Ranks are lower than this card's Level. All Special Summoned monsters on the field lose 500 ATK and DEF. Once per turn: You can make your opponent send 1 monster from their side of the field or in their hand to the Graveyard (for no effect).

This card is such a pain, being immune to Traps and Spells as well as the effects of monsters weaker then it is such an annoyance.To put a cherry to the top he lowers the attack of your Special Summoned monsters by 500, meaning BLS is not as useful. Best way to get rid of him is by summoning Star Eater or Leo (By using Yang Zings), or you could summon one of the god cards, but who plays those now days, like really only Obelisk is good.And oh! Did I mention that just sending any monster to the grave once per turn is fair (For no effect)? Well now you know it is!

I think people are over reacting to this card. As you said star eater leo any level 10 card can easily get rid of him. For a level 10 his atk is pretty low. normal summoning a blue eyes and trading can get rid of him. ojamas using amulet of ambition will destroy this card since there atk will be 4500+. i really think in competetive qliphort's will get knocked out early against more lower tier decks. Hope dragon is another quality OCG card that should be coming to TCG soon.

Darklord desire is another card that can get rid of it easily. vylon if anyone still uses it should do really well against them.


There are also many ways of preventing this card from even being summoned. system down is probably the best since it banishes machine type cards so they don't go back to the extra deck. 


This card is pretty much the anti to the current competitive decks.

We need to look at the meta decks that can get rid of this card but those decks need to be decks that can top a YCS. Those are:

Any deck that can summon Star Eater (Shaddolls)
Anything that will pump your monster's attack super high (spellbook, bujins)
Malefic Drain will see play again, with Mound of the Bound Creator
Having Skill Drain before Killer hits the field.

I kinda agree with DDS, you won't need this card to win in qlips deck, in fact it might hole chu back.

You only run 1 Killer, so you wouldn't dead draw it. In a turn or 2 it will become relatively easy to drop and searchable.

Why the hell does that matter? Like your monsters won't be able to get rid of them lol. Skill Drain + Mask Of Restrict/Zombie World = GG NO RE

SS Cyber Dragon into Fortress Dragon. I think that's the easiest way to deal with him. Tho you need to put a Fortress Dragon in your Extra/Side.

Only reason people aren't putting cyber + fortress in their decks/side anymore is because Gadgets aren't a thing anymore. But this time there is a solid reason to do that stuff again.
