[News – Event] YCS Madrid

Event Information:
Welcome to the news page for YCS Madrid. The available round standings will be posted below along with other relevant information. When the decklists for the top 16 are released they will also be posted here.

Like in YCS Toronto this is the first time that the new prize card Ascension Sky Dragon is available to be won. The top 3 will win a copy with 2nd and 3rd getting it in super rare. The Champion however will get an ultra rare version.

This event has a livestream so if you’re bored this weekend and feel like watching some good duels I would recommend watching it. I have nothing else to add for now, so enjoy the event!

Result and Conclusion:
The winner was Joshua Schmidt of Germany using guess what, Shaddolls.

All of the top 4 were using Shaddoll and 6 of the top 8. So it would appear that the most represented deck has been the best.

Surprisingly there were no Satellarknight decks in the top 8 despite being the 2nd most played deck at the event, perhaps proving that in reality they can't compete with the power of Shaddolls and Burning Abyss.

Finally I feel Paolo Pacchiana’s 54 card Shabyss deck deserves a mention. It managed to reach the top 8 before succumbing to Shaddolls.

That [R] Mermail vs Lightsworn duel, one of the most one-sided n' boring duels ever .

Game 1 was just horrid, the LS player opened awful and stalled for 15 bloody minutes!

At least the Doll vs Satella match was a funny 2-0

That Shaddoll vs Satellarknight ownage, Satellarknight player locked himself as his opponent had Stygian Dirge. Game turned into "Who has a bigger beater".That Dragon beatdown xD, too good.

Well I feel if Shaddoll don't win they will shame themselves. They have nearly double the representation of even Satellas! Dragon beat needs to be a deck though, it has proven it can win games!

Hey what's Rogue and Burning Abyss?

Burning Abyss have replaced Sangan as Tour Guides bitch.

Rogue is just a class for a load of decks that are only being run by 1 or 2 people. I know it includes Monarch, Harpie and Alien Anti-Meta but I have no clue about each of the 108. They are just stats from Konami so they lack huge detail.

I just love that the 52 card Shabyss deck is in the top 16. Literally speechless

I'm just relieved that they didn't show many Satellarknight duels on the stream, I find that deck so boring to watch at times. Unless they kill themselves, then it's funny.

Yeah, this YCS shows that Shaddolls are the best deck, followed by Burning Abyss. And that Satellarknights can beat them if make no mistakes. As BA and SH out speed them.
