World Cup Brazil 2014!

First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the DA World Cup thread for 2014! Please feel free to discuss anything to do with the tournament and make bets on the games.

Betting Rules:
Bets must be placed 20 mins before the game begins at minimum

The winner claims all of the losers betted DP (and his own)

You can bet on a single game, you do not have to bet on each round of the cup.

If the winner is tied then split the pot between them.

If the result is a draw then DP returns to the participants, unless a participant predicted a tie in which case they win in the normal manner.

Minimum Bets:
- Group stages are 500 DP
- Last 16 and quarter finals 1000 DP
- Semi finals 2500 DP
- Final 5000 DP

If a participant would end up getting less than 100 DP winnings profit or a loss on their bet when the pot is split then they will gain double the betted DP instead. This ensures you can benefit from big risk high DP bets.

Since it appears mainly staff are betting I'm hoping you can manage the DP transfers as obviously I can't! Sorry to the new members of DA who can't afford to bet but to be fair neither can I.

Oh and here is Shakira with the cup anthem...well that and she is the hotest 37 year old ever!

Well, you have to give them credits though, the weather and the atmosphere most have gotten to most of the European teams considering they're not accustomed to it.

You do realize he had to give the penalty right? Not to mention he did not give a 100% penalty in the first half of the match to begin with.

I actually dont give a shit bout Mexico but wanted netherlands to win. So when Sneider scored I started screaming from joy. When Huntleear took the penalty I started screaming and cursing out of joy and started actually spitting on Ochoa because I hate all the praise hes getting outve a 1 hit wonder.

Germany and Algeria going to be interesting to watch :>

Algeria is the best African team atm imo (Morocco will surpass them in the near future) but Germany will win this... they are too strong (and Germany is my 2nd favorite :D )

Vaha is an excellent coach but it's not Neuer that was doing all the work it was the Algerian keeper... Algeria barely had any chances at all, Germany had like 30... lol

Rais actually did something, unlike Ochoa, Ochoa just stood there and every ball went straight into him.

1st Part was playing in Germans half of the field...

First 35 min technically, the rest of the game consisted of 12 players, 11 Germans and the Algerian keeper. The rest of the Algeria team was sitting in the parking lot eating kebab.
