Dorm Leaders (IMPORTANT)

With the recent restructuring of the staff of Duel Academy, we are wondering if you like or hate the thoughts of Dorm Leaders. Please answer the poll and post in the thread why (but mostly, vote in the poll).

If we keep dorm leaders, we need good ones who will be active, stick to their job and organise events for their dorm. Otherwise it's as good as having no dorm leader...

I think what I'm getting at here is that you can have a staffer assigned to you who represents your dorm without being a dorm leader, if that's what concerns you.

No, dorm leaders seem to be more appropriate than having a staff member represent them. We need someone to talk to their dorm students, make exclusive events, keep them pumped for it and making others want to move up to other dorms to get the benefits of such.

Dorm Leaders must be leaders, not appointed or selected, we need to see who are true candidates and they show. Popularity contests never work.

It is impossible for us to do that though. If we don't appoint or select we don't have Dorm Leaders.

Oh we will select them, but we can't let it be a popularity contest. We have to acknowledge their accomplishments for real instead of picking the most popular kids. That's what I'm trying to say.

We dorm members are bored a lot. That's why we have leaders. It's also someone we get to know better and shtuff.

Dorm leaders should stay. The responsibilities of a dorm leader should be someone among the dorm who does not already have have a responsibility such as mods/assistants/admins/teachers/etc.

Speaking of responsibility, what are the responsibilities of a dorm leader? I've heard in the past that it has to do with raising morale and organizing certain Slifer dorm wars (very vague). These responsibilities need to be made clear to everyone so we know what to expect from our leader. We need to know if our leaders our meeting the standards of dorm leader -not just for the rules- but for the dorm itself.

My 2 cents.

I voted yes Slifers need someone too lead them so do Obelisk's and Ra's so keep them there doing good.

As a for the record, that would never work perfectly because Moderators/Admins have access to sections that others don't. We've discussed and come up with a solution, however.
