does anyone know if yubel-the ultimate nightmare gets her effect of the opponent receiving the damage,if she attacks a defense? or does the opponents monster have to be in attack?

Of course it would receive its effect. There is no specification to whether the monster had to be in attack mode or not.

thanks very much appreciated. ive had multiple duels them telling me that it didn't,told them it did because it didn't secify. Couldn't find it anywhere online so just needed a fresh look. Thanks a ton
