This Deck is built in accordance to the September, 2012 Banned and Limited List.

First of all, I'm not a fan of archetypes. They take too much creativity out of Deck building. I believe it is much more enjoyable to make Decks out of cards that were not made for each other.

I've been working with this Deck for awhile, and as of now, it is borderline semi-competitive. It seems to take a few turns for it to become aggressive; I would greatly appreciate it if you guys could give me tips regarding the improvement of the Deck's speed. Please do not suggest Lightsworns as they do not work well with many essential cards in this Deck.

The focus of this Deck is to send certain monsters to the Graveyard - Dark Tinker, Destiny Hero - Malicious, Doom Shaman, and Necro Gardna. This is can be achieved with the effects of Armageddon Knight, Dark Grepher, and Foolish Burial. Other cards that are capable of searching or Summoning Armageddon Knight and Dark Grepher are Summoner Monk, Sangan, Reinforcement of the Army, and Soul Rope. The number of engines (Armageddon Knight, Dark Grepher, and Foolish Burial) plus the number of cards that can search for or Summon these engines is 12. This means that one is likely to draw at least one in the first hand.

Another portion of this Deck is revival engines. These are cards that are capable of Summoning monsters from the Graveyard, preferably Doom Shaman. These revival engines include Doom Shaman itself, The Dark Creator, Monster Reborn, Swing of Memories, Birthright, and Call of the Haunted. There are a total of 11 revival engines, just enough so that they aren't likely to be drawn in large quantities during the beginning turns of the Duel. Once Doom Shaman is Summoned, he is then able to Summon Dark Tinker from the hand or Graveyard. Then it is possible to Synchro Summon Level 8 monsters, preferably Black Brutdrago, then Scrap Dragon, assuming a copy of Black Brutdrago is still on the field.

Destiny Hero - Malicious can help to speed things up at the beginning of the duel, if you have drawn Dark Tinker, or if Dark Tinker is in your Graveyard and you have Call of the Haunted face-down on the field. Destiny Hero - Malicious does not require a revival engine to be useful in the Graveyard; its ability allows one to banish it and Summon a second copy directly from your Deck. This makes Synchro Summoning high Level monsters much easier in the beginning of the Duel.

Any advice, tips, or criticism is welcomed! (,'o') Thank you for reading, and have a nice day!

+1 Necro Gardna - necessary protection card
+3 Destiny Draw - deck is a lot faster with this card, discard Malicious, draw 2.
+3 D. HERO Diamond Dude - you play many Normal Spells, and if you mill Destiny Draw or Pot of Duality, you do not have to discard and are unaffected by the "no special summon" clause
+1 Dark Armed Dragon - needless to explain, have 5 DARKs, summon Creator, banish 1 and summon 1 to summon DAD
+1 Pot of Duality - consistency and speed, read Diamond Dude
+1 Mystical Space Typhoon - backrow hate
+2 Solemn Warning - staple, works against anything
+2 Tour Guide from the Underworld - Xyz Engine and consistency
+1 Plaguespreader Zombie - universal tuner with strong grave effect
-2 Birthright - no Doom Shaman
-2 Dark Tinker - unneccesary for this deck
-2 Soul Rope - you need the cards in your hands
-3 Swing of Memories - see Birthright
-1 Mirror Force - run at 2, not at 1, replaced with Warning
-2 Doom Shaman - consumes Normal Summon you need for other cards like Diamond Dude or Summoner Monk
-1 Armageddon Knight - 3 is overkill
-1 Dark Grepher - above comment

Extra Deck Suggestions follow

-3 Black Brutdrago - no more Doom Shaman
-1 Red Dragon Archfiend - a beater, sure, but you got Doom Dragon, Void Ogre and Scrap Dragon
-1 Fran Ken - you want your Lv. 8s on the field, not under a card besides from Heliopolis
+1 Leviathan Dragon - TGU summonable
+1 Leviair - TGU, easy recycling of used up Plaguespreaders etc.
+1 Zenmaines - TGU, staple
+1 Black Corn - Summoner Monk, Dark Grepher
+1 Gem-Knight Pearl - Rk. 4 that overpowers other Xyzs or Syncs

Side Deck Suggestions follow

I'm not understanding what the purpose of a Deck like that would be.

It is called Diamond Dude Turbo.

You use your Normal Spell Engine with DD and draw cards and use cards like Necro Gardna to protect your monsters.

I will elaborate in a few.

Ah okay. Sounds fun. (,'o') Do the Synchros usually come out quickly?

EDIT: What would be some ways to improve the Deck that I already have?

It ain't called Diamond Dude Turbo without a reason.

Besides the fact that I would rather run DDT, your deck seems fine.

After dueling a Ninja Deck, I'm wondering whether I should go with Magic Planter or Pot of Duality. My deck tends to spit out several useless Continuous Traps after I use the revived monsters as Synchro Material.
