skill drains effect?

im sure all of you know what Skill Drain does?

Activate by paying 1000 Life Points. The effects of all face-up monsters on the field are negated while those monsters are face-up on the field (but their effects can still be activated).

so I was wondering if the effects of face down monsters would still activate ,ie flip effects, when destroyed.

flip effects activate when the monster is still on the field if the monster is attacked while face-down. Skill Drain negates them.

That's what I thought too, but ive heard people say that apparently flip effects resolve
in the graveyard? which doesn't sound right.

Random people you meet will say pretty much anything if it can give them a leg up in the duel. Can't believe everything you hear from randoms.
