Not that many decks use tributes anymore but, an old combo I used in monarch decks and the such would be activate Mausoleum of the Emperor, and then activating Spell Economics, you can summon monsters of any level with no cost. Especially deadly when used in conjunction with Ultimate Offering.

You can only use the effect of "Spell Economics" to activate a Spell Card without paying Life Points - that is, you can only not pay Life Points to play a Spell Card from your hand or to flip face-up a Spell Card which is face-down on the field. Thus, if you control a face-up "Spell Economics" and a face-up "Mausoleum of the Emperor", then you cannot use the effect of "Spell Economics" to activate the effect of "Mausoleum of the Emperor" without paying Life Points.[3]

also, monarch's effect doesn't activate when normal summoned without a tribute.

this combo is invalid.

While the idea is initially average, the end doesn't justify the means. Without being tribute summoned, monarchs are basically worthless, seeing as though their effects don't activate.

Wasting monsters by using them as tribute fodders gives you a total card disadvantage, especially when a preferred Monarch summon (tribute summon) can be easily evaded by a modern duelist running top tier decks. The right way to get them is without wasting any resources such as using the fabulous Treeborn Frog.
