Don't use space images as backgrounds, it never gives solid results. Just use black background or fill it in with different C4Ds.

I didn't have any nice redish/blakish textures :<

Then don't scale down your piece of C4D so hard that you end up with empty areas. Most of C4Ds come in large pixels so you should be able to fill in the BG with the C4D itself, then make smaller copies and work yourself a flow.

I was also thinking of adding some of it behind render to make it a bit more dark but I messed up and merged it all by mistake.

Nebulas make excellent textures and backgrounds. However there are only a few really viable ones.

No, they're used as part of the background, not the entirety of it. If one actually uses it as full background then it won't be as solid.

I'll use some of my old works. Yeah a pure space background can't always work, but it doesn't mean that they are all bad.

However, my best pieces have all been either a plain light grey bg that I worked with or textures. They're just easier and look nicer.

@Neji They're good, but such technique isn't repetitive. You have a limited number of space backgrounds, such as Nebulas, to use in your works. It's not an efficient method you could use to make hundreds of signatures, it's more like "I'm bored of normal backgrounds, lets use a space one".
