A new idea for a competition

What I'm thinking is that we could have a Create an Archetype competiton every so often. There would be a 10 card minimum and a 25 card maximum to the archetpyes. Cards would be judged based on balance, power, and originality. By originality, I mean that it doesn't rip off pre-existing archetypes from the game of Yu-gi-oh. 
Since so many cards can be submitted and it can be hard to find good artwork for your cards, creating the card with a creator would not be required and not factored in the judging. 
With this we can see who has the best creative minds between all of the people who create cards.

we have concept tournaments. that are the same as you ask. somehow.

no dueling is involved.

The Idea could be fun, but I don't see it working out. Not that many users create custom cards plus to make an archtype would take quite some time, wouldn't it? People would probably loose interest in a while.

Maybe start dooing CCC of the week, like sig of the week but with custom cards.

We used to have a CCOTW, or created card of the week. It worked exactly like signature of the week, in that it had a set theme, people would make 1 card relating to that theme, and then everyone would vote on the winner. However, it crumbled to a halt after a loss of popularity. It would not be difficult to bring back if there was an audience for it.
