Jurrac Meteor Negation

Okay... if someone uses Fiendish Chain on Jurrac Meteor as soon as its summoned, what happens? Is it a viable target (Like Black Rose Dragon), or is it different because it's as soon as it's Synchro Summoned?

When Jurrac Meteor's effect activates, you can activate a card such as Effect Veiler or Fiendish Chain to negate it.

jurrac meteor is hard to summon though

i don't think I've ever seen meteor summoned e.e

Would the field still get nuked?

That depends. If you negate with Veiler, then the effect is negated, period. Unless otherwise stated (such as with the "this card is unaffected..." clause).

If you attempt to negate things with cards like Skill Drain or Fiendish Chain, these cards will only negate a monster's effect while they are face-up on the field. Meaning you can banish them, return them, tribute them or even simply flip them face-down and their effects would still go off.

An example of this ruling would be Stardust Dragon and Skill Drain. You can tribute Stardust to negate things while Skill Drain is active.

meteor doesn't "Activate"
since it doesn't form a chain
so i dont know about that...
