Gladiator Beasts

i attack a gladiator beast and destroy it.at the end of the battle phase, the gladiator beast returns to the deck from the graveyard and another one replaces it. Is it supposed to return to the deck even though its in the graveyard?or does it stay in the graveyard?

It will stay in the graveyard and won't get the tag.

In order for the Glad Beast to activate it's effect it MUST survive the battle. If it gets destroyed by battle and send to the graveyard it will not be able to even activate the effect let alone resolve it.

Gladiator Beasts must survive battle in order to tag themselves back into the deck. Think about it like it was real life.

If a Gladiator in battle in the Roman Colosseum was ripped apart by a lion, when the lion begins to retreat, I don't believe the ripped in half Roman would be able to get up, walk over to his corner, pat his friend on the back and say "Go get 'em Steve."

I think he'd be dead in the middle of the arena
