Atlanteans

The Atlanteans has great potential, perhaps maybe a meta. If not, at least a tier 1 or 2. I have been building a turbo Atlantean but I'm a little scared about Konami. If they see threats of these guys going out (( Like the Ice Barriers, Inzectors, and Six Sams) then I have a great feeling that they might start hammering down the ban hammer.

Here is what I think will be hit hard. If not banned, then either limited or semi-limited.

Deep Sea Diva
Marksman
Dragoons

Then with the release of the new Rising Abyss coming soon for the Mermail\Abyss, they will only become stronger. Cards like Mermail Abyssmegalo and Mermail Abysslinde will for sure get hit hard. With her ability to bring out that huge beast of Abyssmegalo without using any tributes or even his effect cost... it's just gonna be hit, I assure it.

Without Mermails, Atlanteans are helpless, so we will have to wait until their release before we can say anything about how good Atlanteans are :I

They will only ban during the format after they are released, or possibly even the format after that, because konami is really about profit.

I kinda have to disagree with you there. Some Xyz materials being water type (Ex: #17) can use Atlanteans (Ex: Marksman) and removing the Marksman can release a set popper and gain attack to 17.

Also with the direct attack combo with Attack Squad and Dragoons can be devastating if you can combo it correctly.

But again, we'll see how it goes. For sure the Mermail Abyssmegalo will be a nasty combo with these guys.
