they are a new archetype of spellcasters that revolves around the use of the "spellbook" archetype of spell cards
ive been using them on DN to varied success. I'm having problems deal with monsters over 2800 attack and Necrovalley due the to spell cards need to be recycled.
I have been using them as a form of field control with special summoning power especially with amores, strength and gagaga's(for xyz), magician's circle and magi magi
however i can see them being used as almost a total shutdown deck with secret village, royal decree, and magi magi/big eye
they are very strong during your turn because of the strength of the "spellbook" spells. However you only really get their effects during your turn putting you at some disadvantage whenever it is your opponent's turn. the spell book cards themselves have a recyling element to them where you could loop secrets, strength or la maison, and power to consistantly have atleast an additional 1k on any monster as long as it destroys another monster during your turn. this could be used to exploit spell counter monsters such as magical exemplar or even be used to return the spell card you sacced with a summoner monk for a +1/2 scenario (depending on if you wait on la maison or if you use strength for the level up and attack boost)
and if you use monsters like sorciere de fleur which you can summon instantly by having temperance and any spellbook card in your hand (perferably secrets that way you can give the 1k bonus to her by searching out a power) you also gain an opponents monster for a turn granted it cant attack directly, but who knows maybe you could get out that five-head for a turn to break anything they got
umm i also can see some form of chaos deck working out very well with this deck with the ability to summon high level LIGHT or DARK spellcasters easily with temperance. and then xyz summoning out to use them as special summon fodder later with some powerful control xyz monster effects such as hierophant's ability to possibly wipe the opponent's back row, and big-eye's ability to steal their boss monster
anyone else have any further insight or suggestions as to where we should take this archetype?
Edit: i felt i should add a pic of what my current deck looks like
