I warn you, this next idea will be bashed horrendously and is probably controversial amongst staff/people:
Bring dueling testing back, but not in the general way most would think.
(This is due to the fact I particularly enjoy the whole idea of "testing", and it's more like the show.)
Here's my idea on that matter:
Slifer--> Ra test:
1- The normal written exam costing the normal price of DP
or
2- a duel test where a tester duels the individual in match format with tester's deck rules. (etc, etc, you all know what it is.)
This would cost double (or just more. open for debate/Amy approval) what the written exam costs. (Maybe the extra DP could go to the tester?)
Ra---> Obby test:
1- Written exam. Nothing more, nothing less?
Also, considering that the Ra-->Obby test requirement is to top 4 in at least 16 person tournament or Top 8 in at least 32 person tournament or Top 16 in at least 64 person tournament, we should either have more tournaments or make this a tad easier to achieve, or get rid of the requirement entirely.
I think that for the Slifer test it should be like how they did it in GX and like you said I agree with that statement. Bring the testers back and the written exam make the Slifers pay 1000 DP to take the exam. (This is to make sure that they are completely ready to take the exam) However they have to take the written exam as well. Both count as 50% of there final grade. The duelist could be able to show his/her ability on dueling as well as show there knowledge in rulings.
