Ok guys i was at YCS in Philly today and i just something very interesting. As the first round was about to begin, the head judges just announced a new ruling of Leviathan Dragon.

Explanation:
When you activate Levi's effect and detach and your opponent veiler your levi. Your leviathan still gains the attack boost and nothing else happens, BUT if you already activate Levi's effect and your opponent veilers the levi later on like 2 turns later, the levi loses his attack boost.

NOTE: just to let people know to those who thinks i posted this at the wrong place, please tell me cuz i wasnt really sure where to post this.

please tell me your opinions about this new ruling. Thanks for reading

Are you sure about this? Because this goes against the game itself

im pretty sure its backward :I, witch, btw, makes sense with the wording, if the effect is t gain 500 attack, after activation it gains and the effect resolve, if its negated, then it wouldnt lost what it alredy gained, but this is based only of the wording technichialitty and basically is differentfrom what i know about effects :I

i think if you lev use eff to get boost and detaches and then opp uses veiler levi attack is still at 2000

it seems you heard the ruling change wrong.
current ruling in TCG (or at least previously), once leviathan's effect resolve, if it's veilered, the attack boost would not lose.
#similar to prisma keeping the new name

Yesterday/some days ago, OCG finally clarified that even if leviathan's effect already resolved, once it is veilered he would lose the atk boost. (back to 2000), so the new ruling you heard is most likely about that TCG would also follow OCG ruling.

and if leviathan is veilered when detaching to activates his effect, his atk wouldn't change.

im pretty sure i heard it correctly and it was the main topic that everybody was talking about in YCS Philly. They annouced it before the first round was about to begin.

the ruling is:
you activate 17's eff and opponent Veilers nothing happens (no attack gain)
if 17 is already getting an attack boost and it is veiler'd it loses the boost (just like Skill Drain)
