(Poll)- DA's Live Tournaments

So, i was thinking of starting a new live tournaments series for DA,hirea new staff for it, people with time to run it, and everything else is taken care of. Before i make it official, i will start a poll, to see ifpeople will actually be interested in such an event or they won't.


- What is Live Tournament ?
ALive Tournament is and event where you duel a single duel, normal rules,no deck restrictions, means TCG and OCG allowed, you are free to use whatever you like. Live Tournament takes less that 2 hours to finish, sometimes 1 hour,there will be 1 Live Tournament everyday, So in general the Live Tournament is that kind of tournaments that takes one day, less that 2 hours to finish, so it is a small tournament, minimum 8for competitors and maximum is 16.

- How do we know when the Live Tournament will be hosted ?
Simply you won't, the responsible staff for this event will make it when they see enough members of DA on Chat-box
to start a Live Tournament. Of course, and of course everyone is
welcomed to join from the all 4 dorms, even the staff can compete if the
like.


- Is there any section or topic where i can keep up with matches needs to be done and who is my opponent ?
Yes,there
will be a section + a topic to keep up for records, however therewon't
be a topic for matches or pairings, the Host will announce the matches
and the pairings in the Chat-box where this Tournament is being host-ed. Plus there will be a topic for the Live Tournament winners in that very section.

Sounds like a good idea, would be perfect for the summer.
We could have a countdown widget for it too xD

when i ssaw hamachi i instantly didnt like the idea ._.

I agree, not many people use it anymore.

Any other programs in mind? no one said it has to be hamachi, anything where people can meet is fine with me.

well theres that but theres still the thing with that i cant download stuff onto the computer well not allowed to i should say <_<

I think it would be best to create a thread or collect the members from the chatbox

if people can't use hamachi, then i might consider making a daily topic for each live, but not sure if it will works, any more suggestions ?

EDIT: I like Dex idea, the chat box looks good for this kind of events.

Like... a clock that counts down to the time of the tournament.

Live Tournament take a place when there is at least 8 members online at the same time, of course all of them must agree to play the Live first. So there isn't a specific time for it.

Idea is good but yeah not many people uses hamachi these days... So i think the best way is to use chat :D

Challonge is a must for every tournament. As long as we use it, I'm in. Otherwise, things will get messy.

i would compete as long as the prizes are cool

They wont be very big prizes, maybe some dp, but other than that not much. They are only going to be like 8 person tournaments after all
