I'm looking through and it trying to find where it implies that ignition priority is gone... am not finding anything ._. Can anyone post a qoute from it or something that shows it has been removed? And if this was true, then wouldn't this news be all over the place? I looked on google to see if I could find it posted on another forum or something and found it nowhere.

Many actions can ONLY be performed when the game state is open (when you’re in box A). Examples:




  • Normal Summon (including Tribute Summon)
  • Set a card
  • Perform a Special Summon that does not start a Chain (including Xyz Summon, Synchro Summon)
  • Change a monster’s Battle Position
  • Attempt to move to the next Phase/Step
  • Draw a card for your normal draw during the Draw Phase
  • Declare an attack
  • Activate an IGNITON EFFECT
  • Activate a Spell Speed 1 Spell Card

Ignition effect is in there. Which means the summon window must be closed in order to activate the ignition effect.

Don't risk it. You'll just end up calling an admin, and the admin will say prio is still in effect. Wait 2-3 days to play with people you don't know, that's my advice.

^ theres BTH yes but now theres trap hole for tourguide and other pesky monsters that have atk lower then 1500 Twisted Evil ofc solemn warning should still be ran in side deck for cards that have atk under 1000 or for gorz.......

but other wise this really is great :D

tour guide a trigger and not a ignition so trap holes don't affect it xD

same with caius and gadgets xD

Here is what you should take away from this link:

"Fast effects are card activations and effects with a Spell Speed of 2
or higher, including monster Quick Effects, Quick-Play Spell Cards, and
Trap Cards (which includes both activating Trap Cards, and activating
the effects of things like Continuous Trap Cards)."

Go down to the chart at the bottom. We start at section A and will go down the path to the left.

1. The game state is open. (occurs at the beginning of every phase)
2. Turn player takes an action that does not start a chain. (i.e., normal summons Rescue Rabbit)
3. Does this activate a triggered effect (i.e. Stumbling, Level Limit Area B ... etc)? We'll assume a clear field so answer is no.
4. Turn player can activate a fast effect (looking back up at the list of fast effects, we see that monster ignition effects are not listed, therefore you cannot activate Rescue Rabbit yet). We'll say turn player activates no fast effects.
5. Opponent can activate a fast effect. (i.e. Effect Veiler or Chain Disappearance)

Since Rescue Rabbit's effect is not spell speed 2, it cannot chain to Effect Veiler or Chain Disappearance, so both can now be used against it successfully.

Inzektors have been on a roll lately and with dino rabbit beeing weakened a bit, maybe inzektors can overtake dino rabbit in terms of dominant deck of the format. Plus they are going to get even stronger after GOAV. YCS Chicago will be very interesting..

though i understand a good bit about the yugioh rules and all that better then i used to i still get confused by ignition and trigger effects <_< don't really get the difference betwee the 2 that much -_-

A trigger effect is a Spell Speed 2 monster effect that can be activated at any point in the duel unless the effect specifies a certain timing. Since it is spell speed 2, it can also be chained to the activation of other monster effects, spells, and trap cards.

Examples include: Effect Veiler, Necro Gardna, Honest

An ignition effect is Spell Speed 1 and can only be used during the Main Phases of your turn. It cannot be chained to other effects because of its Spell Speed.

Examples include: Rescue Rabbit, Dark Armed Dragon, Lumina

Sooo... putting Effect Veilers in my main for my inzektor deck or siding it would be my best option? Though i'm not sure if my team has one or two that aren't being used, I know there is one that i can take seeing as i pulled it from a OOC SE Friday lol.
