Okie, so here's my 3rd attempt at photoshopping.

8/10 so far

It's not bad, it's actually quite nice looking. My advice would be to put the text a bit closer to the render, and try to add some more flow. Also, the three diagonal lines negate some of flow, so it would be better to keep those closer to the render as well.

You've definitely got some talent if this is your 3rd try. I hope you keep at it, you should try out a few gfx forums, see if there are any you like. Make some friends and they can teach you cool tricks.

btw the light source should hit the render a little bit

I like. My only bugbear is the font, which doesn't sit with the rest of the sig as well as it could. But that has already been highlighted by Dex.
