April Madness Tournament

Introduction
Well,
this tournament should have been hosted in March, because the name
comes from the NCAA, but now it is April. This will be a 16-32 people
tournament depending on how many people sign up. It will be bracket
style and I will inform you soon about that after sign ups.

Rules
1. Don't sign up if you aren't going to duel
2. Read the rules of this thread.
3. Respect your opponent.
4. Cheating will NOT be tolerated
5. If you can't find your opponent, PM me 2 days prior to the deadline with proof and I will take action.
6. Don't spam this thread.
7. May the best duelist win.

This round will determine who qualifies for the tournament.

The way this round goes is the top
16 advance. The rules will be based on LP. You MUST record your LP at
the end of each duel. The top 16 people with the most LP after round
one will advance. There will be several people that lose that will
advance to the next round. Make sure you post results or you will be
out! I will pair everyone up. Here are the match ups.

What do you mean that many people who lose might advance... when you lose you get 0 LP in the end of the duel, JY1. Or do you mean record our LP before they become 0 / before we make our opponent's LP 0?

i get it if i win first duel with 6000 lp the next i lose he wins with 8000
and 3rd i win with 1000 he advances even if it is 2-1 for me couse there will be 7000-8000lp
and if others win with a total of 12000 lp (2-0 or 2-1) and someone else who lost but had 12050lp (this one advances)

I think JY will explain that when he comes online
so for now... no more discussing about the LP system and you guys can start your duels

Don't make a hamachi. There are too many members to fit into a Non-premium hamachi

Contact ur opponent through PM get his ham and duel him. A hamachi will be made after Round 1

That explains it all. It doesn't matter who wins, it matter who gets the LP to answer Kira's question.

Anyway, I beat dragonknight 2-0
First duel i had 300 LP and the second i had 7100 LP

Now i have a doubt. I won 2-0 so should i duel again the 3rd time for LP count sake?

well.. i really don't think that i can get more than 7400 in a duel with Assassin especially with my SS deck that i had to use cuz JY wasted many of my strong decks with that Banlist xD anywayz Congratz u win .

Matches are best 2 out of 3. When you win 2 duels than you win the match. Assassin has 7400 LP. Dragon, don't think you are out yet. There are people that aren't active that joined this tournament. If they don't finish their duels, than the first people to finish will get in.

Because some would win 2-1 and they might have more LP then i do.... I think its fair if i have my last duel too.... It would be fair for dragonknight too as he can get some LP

Okay, I will update one rule change. For every game you win 2-0 you add 4000 LP. For every game you win 2-1, Your opponent gains 2000 and you gain 4000.

Every game you win = 2000 Extra LP

I won against L the first duel with 8000 LP
in the second he is disconnected from the duel i dont know why , but he said that he had Cyber Valley , Lighting Vortex , D-E Diamond dude So i won the match .

Anyways i had dark bribe face down, plus your feniz die because the effect of CCV.

1st ! You activated CCV after that i Summoned Sacred Phoenix of nephytys by the effect of Hand Of nephytys so it will not be destroyed
2nd : You normal summoned a monster this turn so u have 1 possibility : End turn ,
well , i'll activate Smashing ground the next turn , if u negate it by Your face down card ( Dark Bribe ) ill draw , if i draw just a monster with 1000 ATK you lost the match , so ur chances are 0.1 %

I think pilover should win 2-0 because:
- He gave evidence that he did not logout
- His opponent did not take a scree shot
- He had 7900LP and his opponent just 1700!!!!
- He had the best monster on the field
- As said pilover he would win in any case

well jy said to play it again so i dont see where is the problem if u dont think if u r going to win whats the point in loosing at 2nd round xD

Was online for ~16 hours yesterday and will be online for most of today too, but haven't seen novastar online once and I know that in previous tournies (such as the Dorm Wars tournie) his opponents have also complained about him never being online and it being difficult to get in touch with him. Just letting you know that I'm trying to have my duel. =/
