Card of the Week #32: Black Salvo
Black Salvo is a great card for summoning level 7 Synchro monsters, of which the main one is Black Rose Dragon. Aside from that, it doesn't do much else; this is a one trick pony for field nukes. However, that's nothing to be mocked, as Dark Hole is limited and Heavy Storm is banned, and Black Rose is both of those rolled into one. Summoning it with 1 card is very powerful.
I could blabber on about Black Rose, but that wouldn't get us anywhere where a COTW on Black Salvo is concerned. Even so, if you look at the card art, it is literally a bomb. If your opponent Normal Summons it with a valid target in grave, expect the field to explode. No exceptions.
It's also worthy to note that it's a DARK attribute, and the monster it Special Summons must be DARK too. This opens up Salvo decks for DAD plays to the extent that SalvoDAD decks can be played in a similar style to TeleDAD.
To quickly summarise, this card is a bomb, a nuke, and an engine to summon DAD. There is not much else to say.
