Welcome to my second article about Cyber fusions.

This article will teach you how to cope up in a cyber deck with one dragon.

Main cards:

Cyber dragon:

If your opponent controls a monster and you control no monsters,
you can Special Summon this card from your hand.

Proto cyber dragon.:

This card's name is treated as "Cyber Dragon" while it is face-up on the field.

Mostly used Machine decks:

-Chimeratech overdragon.

-Chimeratech fortress dragon.

Most people use these decks for OTKs.

Chimeratech overdragon:

This monster cannot be Special Summoned except by Fusion Summon.
When this card is Fusion Summoned, send all other cards you control to the Graveyard. The original ATK and DEF of this card are each 800 x the number of Fusion Material Monsters used for its Fusion Summon.
Each turn, this card can attack as many of your opponent's monsters as the number of Fusion Material Monsters used for its Fusion Summon.

The usual strategy is using power bond to fuse monsters on the field with the monsters in your hand(Machines) to get it with double Its attack.

Power bond:
Send, from your hand or your side of the field to the Graveyard, Fusion Material Monsters that are listed on a Machine-Type Fusion Monster Card, and Special Summon that Fusion Monster from your Fusion Deck. (This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon).
The Special Summoned monster gains ATK equal to its original ATK. During the End Phase of this turn,
the player who activated this card takes damage equal to the original ATK of the Special Summoned monster.
People also like to use future fusion over here

People also admire using future fusion to get this card.

Future fusion:

Send, from your Deck to the Graveyard, Fusion Material Monsters that are listed on a Fusion Monster Card, and select that 1 Fusion Monster from your Fusion Deck.
Special Summon a Fusion Monster from your Fusion Deck with the same name as the selected Fusion Monster during your 2nd Standby Phase after this card's activation. (This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon.) When this card is removed from the field, destroy the monster.
When the monster is destroyed, destroy this card.

A mistake many people make is that they send whole deck to the grave and then the opponent bottomlessess it which leads to the deck dying.

A power up card that is cumpulsory for all machine decks:

Limiter removal:

Double the ATK of all face-up Machine-Type monsters on your side of the field, until the end of this turn.
During the End Phase,
destroy all monsters that were affected by this effect.

BUT when this card is used the user must make sure he wins the game that turn and that is likely to happen with Overdragon on the field.

Chimeratech Fortress dragon:

This card cannot be used as a Fusion-Material Monster.
This card cannot be Special Summoned from the Fusion Deck except by sending the above cards from either side of the field to the Graveyard.
(You do not use "Polymerization".)
The original ATK of this card become the number of Fusion-Material Monsters you used multiplied by 1000 points.

To fusion summon this monster all you need is a field of machines tribute em all and BAM.

Now you think how this card can lead to an OTK?

Well:

Limiter removal:

Double the ATK of all face-up Machine-Type monsters on your side of the field, until the end of this turn.
During the End Phase,
destroy all monsters that were affected by this effect.

Any common duelist would know why.

DNA surgery:

When you activate this card, declare 1 Type of monster
. As long as this card remains face-up on the field,
all face-up monsters become the Type you declared.

Why use this?
Read fotress dragons effect carefully.
The fusino material can come from either side of the field.
Manage to get cyber dragon(explained later on) and bam use DNA turn all your opponents monsters into machines and Tada one fortress dragon coming up.

Now what ill be explaining is the drawing.

We need superb draw engines so we can get cyber dragon or proto cyber dragon on the field.

Possible draw engines:

Cyber Phoenix:While this card is in face-up Attack Position,
negate the effects of any Spell or Trap Card that targets 1 Machine-Type monster you control. When this face-up card attacks or is attacked, and it is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard,
you can draw 1 card.( you can also use this to prtect your chimeratechs from traps and spells)

Dekoichi the Battlechanted Locomotive:

FLIP: Draw 1 card. For each face-up "Bokoichi the Freightening Car" you control,
draw an additional card.

Now for our defenses: (we gotta stall to search for cybers)

-Spirit reaper

-Marshmallon

-Swords of revealing light

-Nightmare's steelcage

-Messenger of peace

Proto cyber dragon CAN also be used to get either Chimeratech provided it is on the FIELD.

Anti who:

Ok some traps e.g mirror force can destroy the purpose of this deck...cards that can help:

-Royal Decree

-Solemn Judgement

-Dark Bribe

Hope you enjoyed my second article ;D

It's a nice listing of cards that are common in a Cyber deck, but there is almost 0 actual strategy discussion and nothing in-depth discussion what the strategies of the deck are, how the deck operates, what are its main goals, why we should use the deck . . . etc. Feels like I just read a very long list with very little details. =/

Ahem?
Those are all listed dude...

No, you give short blurbs about the effects of each card and sometimes you'll throw out a combo that works for that card, but you don't talk at all about how all the cards of the deck together use any form of synergy to work together, what the general deck strategy is, and how that strategy gets accomplished. All of those things are very important to deck-building. I'm also not too sure about Future Fusion in a Cyber deck when you are only allowed 1 Cyber Dragon (you cannot use Proto-Cyber for this because his name isn't Cyber Dragon when he's in the deck), because if you draw the Cyber Dragon 1st then Future Fusion is now a dead draw, and consequently Overload Fusion becomes a lot more difficult to use. Additionally, for cards like DNA Surgery, if they're only useful for 1 combo then that makes them a dead draw much of the time. Finally, for your "defense" cards, you did list a bunch of defensive cards but you don't state why they're needed and how they work with the rest of the deck. "We gotta stall to search for Cybers" is not a good reason for putting up a huge defense. Typically, it is better to speed up a deck rather than make it more defensive because except in the case of Counter Fairies and Gadgets, in Yugioh it is most often the person attacking who will be the winner. Also, just because Mirror Force (a limited card) gives you headaches is not a proper excuse for deciding to run Royal Decree and Dark Bribe. Better would be to run some extra s/t destruction like Heavy Storm, MST, Breaker, Snipe Hunter, and Mobius.

Ah?
Dude those cards arnt really only for mirror force.
Even a sakuretsu armor can kill this decks game plan.

Is this a place for arguments?

Neji wrote an article, Nekofjung did not like it

So, is this for the TCP? If yes... then he can post it here.

Anyways, as Nekofjung said, each card works and has some combos... but what's the main goal of the deck, is not clear.
What? To summon Chimeratech? You cannot rely on 1 thing.
And, all the cards you mentioned have uses in some cases... not all. They are useful sometimes, but if you get them in a time were you do not need them, you will have a disadvantage.

The only thing that you learn of this article is the name of some cards, their effects and a way to use it in combos.
Not good.

OK, that's it people.... this Neji is doing this for the TCP, not as an Article Member... so stop posting comments, Neko, L, Assassin, this is not your first time.... so don't do it again.

This topic will be locked.

Alright. Neji, moment of truth.

Looking over your article, I tend to agree that the combinations used are very basic. I don't know if this was your intention or not. Any person who knew nothing of Cybers would have a bit of insight as to what they do, however, and that is not to discount this.

It is my opinion that you gave this article a lot of effort. I'm going to give you a pointer before I give the mark:

I do not think Cybers are very splashable, meaning they will require a decklist. There was not one provided, which should have been there. (You can make the decklist as basic as you want. I'm not saying tell them all about how to make a Cyber Deck that will win a KCVDS Tournament, but something to get them to understand the natural flow would be nice.)

I want you to post another article, on a different topic, taking the words of myself and perhaps even Nekofjung.

-Jin
