I think i saw that deck a few days ago. Various things i dont agree with but the meta must be a bit different over there. Overall he did very good.
DJKarmada from DGz wrote: Decided to go to this one because I have yet to get my invite due to the busy year ive had. Wasnt really feeling it cause i was only running on 4 hours of sleep, due to crap with the MTA and Cops the night before, but still it was a short ride, went with my team so i figured why not. This is also my first tourny report here:
Round 1: VS Chaos Plants
Game 1: I read his setups pretty easily at first and a Mid Game Scrap Dragon gives me control of the game. Veilered it at first but still maintained control for the next few turns. Goes into Chaos, tries to remove Scrap Dragon, and i veiler it. From there I just keep using Dragon to go for game.
Game 2: He starts first. Similar setup as game 1 for him. I draw into Tengu, then another tengu, and the 3rd tengu to make my 6th card. I spend the next few turns stalling, trying to float on tengu as long as I could, eventually it fails, and i get swarmed by a debris and formula play. Didnt really draw well here so there wasnt much i could do, and i started to play horrendous late game. so he gets the win
Game 3: Set sangan and a warning. Next turn he msts my warning, and destrkys my sangan. Search with veiler with. He ends with two fds. I draw into the second veiler, i set beast and end. Hes pretty much controlling the field at a good pace, but now with beast in the grave, my chimeras in the hand are live. I draw into trunade, and from there i go into scrap dragon. He tries to debris i veiler. Then goes for Chaos i veiler. Nothing he can do from there , and then i proceed to make the 2nd scrap dragon. double veiler and dragon get me the win.
1-0
Round 2: VS Fish FTK
Game 1: Starts his Recycling very early. I try to finish the game as fast as I could, but couldnt. I end up losing to Colossal OTK.
Game 2: I start off the game by summoning tengu, setting Warning and Debunk. He ends up setting a lot of back row, and no monsters. I just keep poking with Tengu until I get game.
Game 3: Pretty much a repeat of game 1 we both control the field at a certain point. He gets Colacanth out and starts to swarm. He goes for formula, and I Chain Disappearance Formula. He still manages to get the setup for the OTK, but he goes for Scrap Dragon rathter than Colossal, because i always had 1 card left in my hand, and bluffed making him think it was a veiler. But if it was I wouldve just Veilered Colncanth and won in the next turn or 2 rather than waiing for so long so he forgot that. Anyways next turn I get rid of the whole field and go into scrap Dragon. Guy had nothing he could do and i get the win. Very tiring game, decent player.
2-0
Round 3: VS Sabers
Game 1: Major stall war. I draw all of my tuners, and no way to use them. He eventually swarms me, and thats game
Game 2: Draw most of my side deck cards. But play very bad, used Raiou Wrong, wasted a lot of resources, etc so i lose from there
2-1
Round 4: VS Six Samurai
Game 1: He wins the die roll, but I veiler when he tries to go into Shi En, leaving him with just kaigeki. Try to maintain control of the field, but D prison is a **** at times. End up coming back mid game with Scrap Chimera, but he flips up oppression, i chain call to go for the Gaia Knight he killed off so i have a decent beatstick to keep on the field. I eventually get rid of oppression but that couldnt get game in time and he finishes my off with Shi En and Kizan
Game 2: Summon Raiou, and 3 backrow, left with puppet plant and beast in hand. He starts off with D fissure and backrow. I sit on Thunder King for a bit until i draw some more outs. End Up making his backrow useless with Decree, i chain dust tornado to it getting rid of fissure, and i puppet his kizan going into Scrap Dragon from there the game is mine.
Game 3: He goes first and starts off with D fissure and 3 back row. I summon tengu attack for 1700, and float on it for a while. Now he wasted a lot of his resources trying to go into Shi En but I kept on getting rid of it. He has one face down left, I feel its mirror, hell i know its mirror: I had Scrap Dragon, Scrap Twin, and Chimera on the field. All those attacks would mean game, or I could use Scrap Dragon to destroy the fd. I wasnt thinking, I was being reckless, and just like i thought it was a mirror. He ends up taking 1600 and 1700 from Beast and Chimera. Main phase 2 i go into 2nd Scrap Dragon and end. Manages to get rid of it due to a boost from gateway, and from there time is called. I draw into cyber dragon and attack his kizan. Set book and pass. He wasted all his resources and waits until he draws something. Last turn he manages to boost Grandmaster again to attack over Cydra, I book it, and I get the win.
3-1
Round 5: VS Scraps
Game 1: He wins the dice roll, and starts off with 2 back row, and a set monster. I figure im playing against Plants or something. I read its a ryko, so I mind control and my read is right, i flip it destroy his backrow, which is Scapegoat. I mill beast, Judgment, and Dark Hole. I summon Chimera get beast attack over some tokens, make Scrap Dragon to pop the last backrow and end by setting some of my own. From here he sets, and ends, and when i destroy it i see its a beast. Overall, he played very bad, didnt know how to play the mirror and losses cause of it
Game 2: Goes first again similar setup, cept he sets a tengu. I manage to get first turn Scrap Dragon, and destroy tengu with its effect. Had to spend almost 5 mins convincing him that tengu isnt destroyed while facedown, and he calls a judge to confirm it. Mid game he gets double garnnel. I have no choice but dark hole, otherwise i wouldve lost next turn. Next turn he sets and passes. Imanage to go for my 2nd and 3rd dragon and attack for 5600. He destroys them both with Dark Hole, I activate their effects Targeting Orthros and Goblin. Now Orthros has already been special summoned by its effect, meaning i can special summon it by other means now. Head Judge tells me no i can not do that unless there is another Scrap Monster on the field. So by that Logic, I cannot Reborn a Chaos Sorcerrer that has already been summoned properly without removing another light and dark monster again. The HJ also ruled Rivalry Of The Warlords wrong in another match around this time. Everyone was hella confused, and pissed. But oh well, i lose beacuse of it.
Game 3: I start off with Thunder King, and back row. He continue to play bad, and the game is in my favour the entire time. Eventually he plays debris, and summons spore with its effect. We're about to go into time, says the judge watching. So i finish this off quick going into Scrap Dragon popping a sangan, getting veiler just in case i cant win here, and attack for game.
4-1
Round 6: VS T.G
Game 1: I run into a lot of T.G Variants on DN, so im used to them already. I just manage to over power him, and take the game. Decree shut off his back row
Game 2: Trish + Recycling = Game for him
Game 3: I halt the recycling a bit with debunk, I draw bad though. Ending up making him waste his resources for a bit. Long game that goes into time. End phase of his turn, I call target Archfiend that he just destroyed. From there i just wait out the next 3 turns. His last turn, he tries to go into brio, I veiler. He ends. I draw into Cydra and end from there giving me the win. I liked his build, couldve played better though. He wanted to drop, I convinced him not to he ends up getting his invite in the end
5-1
Round 7: VS Flamveils
Game 1: Fiendish chain stop his firedog early until i draw some outs. He still manages to synchro though, but i end up using compulse on the stardust. From there I make Scrap Dragon and take control of the game from there. Very straight forward game 1, just very long
Game 2: He out plays me, and i end up playing bad. He msts my warning and plays rekindling. I ask the judge how much time is left. He says 5 mins. I scoop from there.
Game 3: I start off going into tengu floating on it for a bit. He sets a few back row, i play decree on the end phase. I draw into beast go into Scrap Dragon, getting the 2nd Tengu and attacking. He still cant do much but set. From their with 1 minute left i go into the 2nd Scrap Dragon with Chimera and he scoops from their. Decent player, who also got his invite.
6-1
Round 8: VS T.G
Game 1: I go into first turn Scrap Dragon, set back row and pass. He sets tengu and passes. I end up destroying it, he tries to search. and he also didnt know about Tengus effect, not summoning another when its fd. Didnt matter much because he special summons Stryker going into Caius. I veiler, he books and i lose from there
Game 2: Get caiused again, couldnt do much. Had a decent hand, I just got outplayed, Plain and simple. ***** happens. He ends up making top 8 though. Good player aside from the Tengu thing.
6-2
Round 9: VS Gravekeepers
Game 1: Ive been waiting to playing this matchup all day. I start off floating on Tengu, and out play him from there. Getting rid of necrovalley as fast as I could.
Game 2: I end up getting Swarmed, and there were a few cards i couldnt find the room to side out. End up losing because of it.
Game 3: Closed Forest puts in work, and Scrap Drago takes control from there
7-2
End up getting 17th place out of 348 people getting my invite. Kinda mad about not going x-1 and making top 8 though, but still ery productive day. end up doing a lot of trading after. Got a trish for 30 and a warning for 60. Went out to eat after that, and then on the way out, getting pulled over by the cops not once but twice, in less than an hour.
