I think this is a topic most people can chime in on. What's your favorite comic book movie and why?

That's a hard one because comic books are so different to they're comic counter parts. But doing by the movies my favourite movies it has to be Guardians of the Galaxy (yet to see the second one sadly), beautiful displays and very well written.

Respectable choice. For me, it's Spiderman 1, without hesitation. It was such an impact on my childhood in all the best ways, and rewatching it now-a-days, it completely holds up. It really has aged well. Perfect casting, fantastic story, eargasmic soundtrack, and I could go on and on

Oooo good choice, I also enjoy the original Spider man movies. I wasn't so sold on the Amazing spider man movies. Don't get me wrong they are good movies but not nearly as good as the originals.

I agree! Well, mostly. Objectively speaking, The Amazing Spiderman 1 was a seriously bland and tired experience. CGI was poor, characters weren't developed well at all, the story was all too familiar, the villain was god awful, the soundtrack was abysmal, and they went overboard with exposition. Barely watchable film for me. Besides Spidey's new outfit, The Amazing Spideman 2 was straight-up dogshit in every aspect

That's funny @Atticus actually, cause The Amazing Spider-Man 1 is my favorite superhero movie and I'd pick Andrew Garfield Peter/Spider-Man over Tobey any day. Tobey was portraying well the miserable side of Peter Parker but I could relate to Andrew's Peter more. It just had more feeling. And I grew up with Tobey's Spidey as well. Too bad that Andrew had a shit director and shitty Sony. I'm so pumped up for this next Spider-Man movie because Spider-Man is my favorite superhero too.

Batman v Superman is brutally good, people are just too stupid to realize how good it actually is.

However the best superhero movie will forever be The Dark Knight. NOTHING can top Heath Ledger's Joker. That was BRILLIANT!! Changed my view of life. Really phenomenal. There's The Dark Knight and then there are other superhero movies.

That's... quite the opinion you got there. I agree with The Dark Knight though. It's a masterpiece and I totally understand why people hold that as their favorite

Well if I have to chose an all time favorite it would probably be Spider-man 2. It had all the components of not only a great superhero movie, but a great movie as a whole. Atticus already touched on what made the original Spidey movie great and the second one, in my opinion, started building on the already great foundation. As a musician I just have to aknowledge the phenomenal main theme that accompanied the whole franchise. It was memorable, intense and all round it sounded heroic, exciting and just screamed superhero. People may well complain that the display that Tobby put, while no denying amazing, was not what Spiderman stood for, but that is what really makes this movies unique. It gives us a new take on the character, it showed us a true emotional journey of a person and what he has to go through to ultimately become who he was meant to be. And that in my opinion is the base for a good superhero movie. And don't even start me on the villain...Doc Oc is one of the most layered antagonist I've even seen in a movie. He was intense, yet had remorse and showed true passion for his life's work.

@Lux talking about The Amazing Spider-Man we have to aknowledge the fact that it had already high expectations considering the ground it had to cover. And for me it crumbled by the weight of these expectations. It again didn't capture the feel of the comic book spidey but this time, unlike the previous franchise, it was clearly trying to do so. Andrew put a good performance and was likable, but the things around him (like world building, character development and storyline) just didn't work. Of course that is just my 2 cents.

BvS has one fatal flaw really. It doesn't know what it wants to focus on. It was advertised as this big fight between two colossals of the superhero world and honestly we didn't really get what we expected. I liked this incarnation of Lex Luthor, but he seriously dragged the movie down with his storylines. Then we also had the fact that this movie was trying to set up the whole DC cinematic universe and mostly this years upcoming Justice League. All of this made for a 2 and a half hour movie. And well, while I was hooked for the first hour and a half of build up, I grew quite irritated when they decided to put a Doomsday wanna-be in a mix of an already packed movie.

One of my other favorites are pretty much all 3 of the Captain America movies, definitely Guardians of the Galaxy which completely blew my mind away, Nolan's Batman films were incredible memorable and Green Lanthern obviously xD
