CGC #4: Archetype Burst
Spoiler :
Criteria: Create your own archetype

Spoiler :
DanelerH wrote:My Archetype is Yamimakai (Dark Demon World). It is based on the cards "Yami" and "King of Yamimakai". The general theme of the archetype is banishing other cards to gain effects and being banished to gain effects.Heir of Yamimakai :
Heir of Yamimakai
DARK
Level 4
Fiend
1610/1530
This card is unaffected by the effects of your opponent's trap effects while "Yami" is face up on the field. If this card would be sent from the field to the Graveyard, banish it instead. You can only activate each of the following effects of "Heir of Yamimakai" once per turn.
● You can banish 2 cards from your side of the field or your Graveyard; Special summon one "King of Yamimakai" from your hand or deck, and if you do, this card becomes level 5.
● If this card is banished: You can make all face-up "Yamimakai" monsters you currently control Level 5.
Starting off, we have "Heir of Yamimakai". The first two effects are given to all of the Yamimakai monsters. The first one helps protect them if "Yami" is on the field. The latter banishes it so you can get the effect, however, since it is not in the Graveyard, you cannot banish it to activate the effects of your other cards. Each monster also has two other effects. One of them activates by banishing cards. The other activates when banished. Each effect of "Heir of Yamimakai" lets you summon Rank 5 Xyz monsters, such as the boss monster of this archetype, "Deity of Yamimakai".Count of Yamimakai :
Count of Yamimakai
DARK
Level 4
Spellcaster
1230/1530
This card is unaffected by the effects of your opponent's trap effects while "Yami" is face up on the field. If this card would be sent from the field to the Graveyard, banish it instead. You can only activate each of the following effects of "Count of Yamimakai" once per turn.
● You can banish 2 cards from your side of the field or your Graveyard, then target up to 2 Spell/Trap Cards on the field; destroy them.
● If this card is banished: You can make all face-up "Yamimakai" monsters you currently control Level 4.
Next on the list is "Count of Yamimakai". This one gives the archetype some backrow removal. It's basically "Twin Twister" for Yamimakai. The last effect is similar to that of "Heir of Yamimakai", but for Rank 4 Xyz. This can be used with the first effect of "Heir of Yamimakai", since the effect of "Count of Yamimakai" would occur after "King of Yamimakai" is summoned.Sorcerer of Yamimakai :
Sorcerer of Yamimakai
DARK
Level 4
Spellcaster
1380/1530
This card is unaffected by the effects of your opponent's trap effects while "Yami" is face up on the field. If this card would be sent from the field to the Graveyard, banish it instead. Once per turn, during either players turn: You can banish 1 card from your side of the field or your Graveyard; all monsters on your opponent's side of the field become Fairy-type until your opponent's next End Phase. If this card is banished: You can make all face-up monsters your opponent currently controls Fairy-type. You can only activate this effect of "Sorcerer of Yamimakai" once per turn.
Third on the list is "Sorcerer of Yamimakai". This one is to go with "Yami", which lower's the ATK and DEF of Fairy-type monsters. This can also disrupt decks that use specific types. You have to be careful not to banish all of your cards, though. Unlike the effect it has on the field, the effect you can use when it's banished is permanent.Servant of Yamimakai :
Servant of Yamimakai
DARK
Level 1
Fiend
15/30
If this card would be sent from the field to the Graveyard, banish it. This card is unaffected by the effects of your opponent's trap effects while "Yami" is face up on the field. You can only activate each of the following effects of "Servant of Yamimakai" once per turn.
● If you control no monsters, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand).
● If this card is banished: You can add 1 "Yamimakai" card from your deck to your hand.
Our last Main Deck monster is "Servant of Yamimakai". The first effect works best with the last effects of "Heir of Yamimakai" and "Count of Yamimakai". Since you can banish from the field to get the effects, you can summon "Servant of Yamimakai" just to banish it. The last effect gives the archetype a searcher.Deity of Yamimakai :
Deity of Yamimakai
DARK
Rank 5
2 Level 5 monsters
2230/1530
This card is unaffected by the effects of your opponent's trap effects. If this card would be sent from the field to the Graveyard, banish it instead. The field is treated as "Yami". All Fiend-type and Spellcaster-type on the field gain 500 ATK and DEF. All Fairy-type monsters on the field lose 500 ATK and DEF. If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, banish it. You can only activate each of the following effects of "Deity of Yamimakai" twice per turn.
● If a "Yamimakai" card(s) is banished: You can detatch 1 Xyz Material; banish 1 card on the field.
● If this card is bansihed: You can banish 1 carad on the field.
Finishing off the monsters, we have "Deity of Yamimakai" It has a more powerful effect of "Yami" and allows you to banish your opponent's cards, rather than just your own. It also has a more powerful effect of "Yami". Not much else to say about this card.Greed of Yamimakai :
Greed of Yamimakai
Spell
Banish 3 "Yamimakai" cards from your side of the field or your Graveyard; draw 2 cards. You can only activate 1 "Greed of Yamimakai" per turn.
Here we have the archetype's draw power, "Greed of Yamimakai". Since the archetype seemed like it would be a bit slow, I let it draw two cards, but it requires a higher banishment cost than the other cards.Return of Yamimakai :
Return of Yamimakai
Spell
Return up to 5 banished "Yamimakai" cards to your Graveyard, then you can Special Summon 1 banished "Yamimakai" monster, except for "Deity of Yamimakai".
This next one is our banish recycler, "Return of Yamimakai". This will let you use the monsters' effects more often and it gets you a summon.Yamimakai :
Yamimakai
Field Spell
While this card is face up on the field, it is treated as "Yami". You can only use each of the following effects of "Yamimakai" once per turn.
● You can Special Summon 1 "Yamimakai" monster from your hand, but banish it during the End Phase.
● You can send 1 "Yamimakai" card from your Deck to the Graveyard; return 1 banished card to your Graveyard.
I was debating between calling this one "Yamimakai" or "Kingdom of Yamimakai". I ended up deciding on the former as the archetype's Field Spell (since "Yami" isn't very good). Since it's treated as "Yami", it provides the monsters with their Trap-immunity. This card is similar to "Return of Yamimakai". The first effect lets you Special Summon an additional Yamimakai monster. This can be used for an Xyz summon or just let it get banished so you get the effect. The second lets you mill your Yamimakai cards, which lets you have more banish fodder.Law of Yamimakai :
Law of Yamimakai
Counter Trap
When your opponent activates the effect of a Fairy-type monster or when a "Yamimaki" card you control is targeted by an opponent's card effect; negate that effect, then you can banish two cards from your side of the field or your Graveyard, and if you do, banish one card on the field.
The last card on the list is the only Trap of the archetype, "Law of Yamimakai". While not too many things in the game target right now, that is remedied when you make the opponent's monsters Fairy-type. This will give you an opportunity to negate a harmful effect and banish either it or another troublesome card.Trivia :
● Similar to King of Yamimakai and the other cards that Panik used in the anime, none of these cards have ATK or DEF values evenly divisible by 50.
● All of the monsters have the same DEF value as "King of Yamimakai" at 1530, except for "Servant of Yamimakai" whose values are 15/30.
● All of these cards depict recolors of existing cards, usually over "Yami".
