Battle of Phantoms
Hello duelists and welcome to the Battle of Phantoms event! You all know here on DA we have 4 dormitories, and 3 of them are Ra Yellow, Obelisk Blue and Slifer Red.
In this Event, depending on what dorm you are, you are going to build a deck oriented around your God card (so, if you're a Slifer member, you're obviously going to build a deck around Slifer the Sky Dragon...)
In the event, there will be tasks for you to complete. You need to complete these tasks to get the rewards at the end of the event!
Also, to make the event more exciting and to experience the power Egyptian God cards had in Anime and in the Manga, we are going to "boost" effects of God cards. So, the added effects to the God cards will be:
-Their Battle Position can be changed on the turn they were Normal Summoned
- If they are Special Summoned from the Graveyard or Banished area, they are returned to the Graveyard or Banished area at the end of the turn.
- If they are Special Summoned in Defense Position when your opponent has attacked with a monster, you may switch the attack target to them. *(This should be more clear though)
- They cannot be Tributed by your opponent.
- Control of the cards cannot change.
- The opponent cannot equip cards to the "God" Cards.
- They cannot be returned to their controller's hand.
-They cannot be destroyed by card effects of non-"God" Cards.
- Card effects that negate their effects last for as long as the card is face-up on the field. All other card effects used on them only affect them for the remainder of the turn they were activated
In addition, when you win a duel against a duelist from other dorm, you'll win his/her God card (Up to you will you play it or not, but I suggest you to play it since you can win more points with it).
There is no winner in this event, as all duelists who obtain a certain number of points will get the same reward. Now, let me introduce you to the tasks:
Win against Obelisk Blue duelist = 10 Points
Win against Ra Yellow duelist = 10 points
Win against Slifer Red duelist = 10 points
Summon Winged Dragon of Ra = 20 points
Summon Obelisk the Tormentor = 20 points
Summon Slifer the Sky Dragon = 20 points
Destroy opponent's God card = 20 points
Win a duel using your God card = 30 points
Win all three God cards = 30 points (can only be completed once).
Control two God cards at the same time = 50 points
Control three God cards at the same time = 100 points
Summon all 3 God cards during the duel = 60 points
Inflict 8000 or more damage with your God card in one attack = 40 points
Summon a God card in your first turn = 20 points
Summon same God card three or more times during the duel = 30 points
Summon Phoenix Mode of Winged Dragon of Ra = 40 points
Summon all 3 versions of Ra during the duel = 80 points
NOTE: To complete a task you most prove a screenshot as a proof. If you can't screenshot, make sure your opponent does or get a spectator that will do it for you. Also, these points are not Duel Points (DP), these are points we will be using during this Tournament. Any cheating in the event (such as faking a task will result with a DSQ from the event for both players and possibly with more punishments). Also, there is no limit on how many times can you complete the task. You can complete them as much as you wish (unless the task says different)
Rules:
- No OCG/TCG exclusives, and latest TCG banlist.
- You must make a new deck before the event. Meaning you can't just put a God card in some of your decks, your deck HAS to be built around your respective God card
- Duels will be played in Advanced Unrated (on Dueling Network), single duels.
-There will be no brackets. Meaning you can duel anyone who signed-up for the event. Also, you can join the event whenever you wish.
- Points can be deducted for miss-behavior or breaking rules. Or for unsportsmanship behavior.
- You can run up to 3 copies of each God card in your deck. However, you can control only one of each.
-You can also run up to three copies of "The Winged Dragon of Ra - Sphere Mode" and "The Winged Dragon of Ra - Immortal Phoenix (God Phoenix)"
- To balance the event, Pendulums are going to be banned from this tournament. Also you can't run automatic win engines.
-Cards like "Mount of the Bound Creator" will NOT save your God card from opponent's God card effect. For example, if I use Obelisk's effect to tribute two cards so I can destroy all opponent's monsters, "Mount of the Bound Creator" will not save your god card.
-Side and Extra deck are not allowed.
Also, Obelisk CAN be targetted by opponent's God card effect.
Rewards:
100 points = 500 DP
200 points = 1000 DP + Profile Song item (for 1 month)
500+ points = 2500 DP + Medallion + free Custom Rank item (for 1 month)
