What makes a good duellist?

With net decking so common nowadays with people just copying the latest deck that topped a event card for card with absolute no idea on how the deck works / should be played, How do you separate the good duellist from the bad? and what makes the good duellist good?

Dont brag about how good you are be humble always fun to rekt those kind of people

Well anyways. in my opinion a good duelist is:
nice, has good attitude, willing to help when facing weaker opponents (unless stuff is at stake, like the world), willing to acccept mistakes and not being a ruleshark.  But u can;t be all good attitude without true skills. You can be an average player, and with ur good attitude, people will be willing to help u, and the more help u get, the better u become. till you become pro. 

That's what i think a good duelist is, at least that what i think they should be.

since we're not talking about "kind" then honestly it's all about patience (rushign and making mistakes, even if u used the deck for 10 years, and u know everything about it) mistakes can be made

and it all comes down to skills.

I used to be good because I was a good deck builder, also i was quite lucky in my duels

A good duelist is someone with extensive knowledge about the game of yugioh that can play the game skillfully,  and all the while being a good sport about it.

For me, a good duelist is someone with a decent knowlegde on the rulings (mostly using the logic) without using sources like DN forums or Wikia, also, being a good person to his opponent, that trash of "scrubs", "kids" or "noobs" isnt for a good player in my opinion.


Maybe, accept any type of decks, no always the "meta", because konami dont make over 7000 cards for only use 70 cards.


Basically no good players around, or atleast, i dont meet none fornow and being serious dont make you good player .

Patience with noobs

In my opinion, they need knowledge in:
deckbuilding, sidedecking, and card interactions.  By that I mean knowing why cards are popular and how to play around them.
