Well Meta is boring like the meta of 2012 of 2013.
Meta is always boring since it is to play only 3 Decklist: now they are Nekroz Qliphort BA

See I like the current meta because it's fast and hard hitting. Also it's nice to see verity of summon types in the meta.

I'm presuming this just TCG side.

I feel that 3/4 decks is the optimal number for tier 1, otherwise side decking gets painful sometimes.

It's diverse enough, you see some different mechanics being used by the top decks right now which is a rare sight.

The things I dislike are the fact that out of the 3/4 decks I don't really find any of them particularly fun to play, and the sheer difference in power and consistency the tier 1 decks have over everything else. The power creep from the things introduced from DUEA on wards is much higher than any set in recent memory.

The way the TCG game-states  are, things  essentially devolve into a race to OTK or Stop the game from being played, I really dislike that too.

Except for the fact Simorgh Harpie Ninja is not a META Deck.

and btw Apex Avian pendulum is better .-.

is implied by saying that those deck can fight with almost a tie strength.

I see the actual meta game like a "Clan Wars" and konami apparently love that, so all meta decks are over supported archetypes and no a combination of cards for create a good deck like very very old times.


For example, right now is Nekroz VS Qliphorts, HEROs (more like evil heros...) vs Shadolls, etc, so i looking this on a RP way and that actually looks fun but, the gameplay that konami is giving to the cards is just same shit but ritual summoning or pendulum summoning.


For me the only different decks in 2015 are super heavys (no traps or spells) and Monarch (no extra deck).

Depends at what level you are playing Yu gi oh. I mean most of the guys in this forum dont play in real life -> dont pay for cards -> can play all the expensive decks online. I actually duel online to practice for locals and regionals since I cant play test vs the latest meta irl and also to have fun.
Instead of being mad at the meta (because no one has those meta decks @ my local shop)I am pissed off by the play style of most of the guys there.Every one runs a trap heavy deck with floodgates and just like DDS said they try to make it so you cant play your cards and this is not fun at all.

I remenber someday, a wild random duel appear, i was testing hand but thanks to the duel system of DMG, if you do that any rush boy will raise the disk againts you, well i accept the duel (i never do if that happen), the boy was running qliphort and me cyber dragons, he said "dont worry i am running a fun qliphort deck" i dont know what is fun for he but i continue with duel, ETC ETC doro doro tan endo tan endo, the duel finished with 1 Towers, 1 Kaiser Colosseum, 1 Skill Drain, 1 Necrovalley and 2 qli pendulums and obv like 30 qlis in the extra.


Too much for only 3 MSTs, what used trying to stop the spam, but well i can say we take advantage of free to play for do that class of trash but hey dont matter what do Konami, always free yugi will be better unless someone want to be "popular" winning on a card game in a WC like lot guys do since 2004?.


I dont hate the meta, i played meta during BW format and Wind-Up hand loop, WInd-Up Xyz Spam and again WInd-Up with magician @3 during 3 ban list if i remenber, i have experience in the competitive gameplay but meh, i got tired of ugly weeb bastards instead of playing againts "OP" decks, for me is more annoying bastards than meta (sometimes inverse).


Bad thing is, the game will never change, konami decided to continue with over supporting archetypes, so better over support old archetypes then like they are doing with Red-Eyes and Cyber Dragons, but the game will be never balanced, always a archetype deck will be better than a non archetype deck, unless you deck counter X archetype.

Start playing Jinzo

The difference between playing online Vs IRL is online almost everyone runs the latest most expensive because price isnt a issue where as in real life only a couple (if any) of people run the latest best deck in locals because of price. You only really start to see the best current decks at regionals etc where the composition is abit more heated up.

so much S/T hate lol Im guessing there isnt any Denko's in cyclelution in your area so I recommend you start buying The New Challengers boosters and hope for the best.

People are really abusing the fact Heavy Storm is gone in the TCG aren't they?

Tbh people could use Mal Cat in TCG because essentially it's just a slower heavy storm.

A slower Heavy that's much more conditional thus easier to play around and answer.

People don't tend to blind MST much anymore (well in my experience anyway) and alot of the time your opponent declares a attack almost every turn. But yeah it's a not so great heavy.

It's starting to really annoy me..

Maybe I need to explore Artifact decks again so I can go plus from it.

There's also trap stun/wiretap and all these archetypes with their infernity barrier clones too -__-

See my experience is totally different lol People don't blind MST often because of the threat of vanity and they don't want to waste there MST on a potential useless target.

I bet as soon as you start playing artifacts again people will stop blind MST'ing you

I sometimes draw and pass turn, then my opponent say "bad hand?" "..." then my opponent expect some fader or gorz and that for some weird reason make they play slow and no wasting all resources and me recharging the hand for the OTK; no all time works, but is funny when works


I usually do that class of mind games, also when my opponent try to be smartass i say "boy" or "kid" and they get mad and end in insulting me for no reason, hue and that only happen me in competitive games.
