Tokyo Ghoul S2

Season 2 of Tokyo Ghoul (not 're') is running. I didn't know we have a season 2 this month? lol

Anyway, I'm watching Episode 1 right now, I'll edit with my thoughts later.

It's basically all the same season but airing in two different times

The story is continuing though.

Manga = Better

Anyway as a non-manga reader I'm kinda confused and apparently there was an amazing bone crushing scene followed by an anatomy lesson scene who were both skipped.

Such disappointment.

It doesnt follow the manga. It is called Tokyo Ghoul Root A

Yea, I read the comments after I've watched the episode. It's won't be following the manga in any way and It'll have it own 'unknown' story.

The good think is White Hair Kaneki is finally in the house to steamroll everyone and everything, the bad thing is the anime is not following the manga at all now....

They had one job: follow the awesome damn manga that everyone is talking about.

On a more serious note now, I need someone to explain it to me with details.

I've seen the Season 1 of this anime. When the season was over, people said the second season will start on April, and will be called Tokyo Ghoul Re. While now, at this moment, we get this, Tokyo Ghoul Season 2.

I'd appreciate if someone could enlighten me on what exactly is happening.

Anyways it is good so far. But only 1 aired so must wait to tell

Basically they rebooted the anime with a prototype draft of Tokyo Ghoul the author of the manga wrote before the final product came to be. To give you an example the same happened with the Fate/Stay Night Visual Novel and the prototype came to be known as Fate Prototype in which the story was completely different and it didn't have the same main characters at all.

I just want more Fate :L
This entire season has really bad animes.
Aside from continuations of animes.. the rest aren't the greatest

The Tokyo Ghoul:re manga is way way ahead. This is supposed to be a direct sequel to the previous season. Also, the name "RE" has a meaning behind it, so there was no way that this season could be named after it.
What's happening right now is that the story creator himself, Ishida, is providing this "original story" and not "sticking to the manga". That doesn't mean that the "end result" will be different tho.
The only thing that it sucked was that Kaneki didn't "half kill" Touka's brother.

Also the draft what Train is talking about is totally different. The "draft" that a lot of people were speculating (for reasons unknown to me) is the "Oneshot" chapter. There Sasaki Kaneki is a ghoul, not a human/one-eyed ghoul... also he was pretty much "crazy". Touka was also different. So it sucks.

First episode of the new season is out, and my lack of headphones to watch it with is pissing me off.

The draft is only one chapter I think.

And the anime is wierd, in the manga I partially knew the reason why he left Anteiku but this is just ridicolous.

So I actually made people read the damn thing for once XD

Yeah and in the manga he never joined the other guys lol. He actually expressly hunted them. But I suppose that is the reason they said the anime and manga are going to differ.

We still don't know the reason why he join them... In any case, he doesn't need to hunt them now.

Okay, so this 'season 2' has nothing to do with the manga?

If that's so, the manga is the series that will continue in April?

Mediocre episode. yeah. it was.

You have no idea how important Akira is to the plot also the Ghoul girl at the end with the tease, she is VERY important. I did not think they will reveal her so soon (you will understand who she is only if you read the manga tho). Having said that the episode is more then decent as it set up quite a lot of stuff.
