Great Hallway
This is the hallway leading up to the arena's gladiator entrance. It's lined with statues of the strongest gladiators from the colosseum's past. You've been down this hallway many time, although it wasn't completely lined with cameras back then.
Area Effect Table :
1: Blocked :
You and your opponent clog up the hallway with your duel, causing great annoyance to some guy who has to squeeze past you.
2: Endless :
For some reason, while dueling, the corridor has looped in on itself and yet continues to be straight, defying reality and causing an endless corridor. Summoning monsters in this space causes a great deal of fatigue.
" When a monster(s) is summoned, the controlling player takes 200 damage."
3: Thin :
Before your duel begins, the walls either side of you move inwards, causing the corridor to become much thinner. Monsters will have a much harder time defending.
"All defense position monsters lose 400 defense, also all attacks on defense position monsters cause piercing damage."[b]
4: Statues :
The statues are there to immortalise the greatest deeds of warriors past and present. These gladiators are seen as heroes and are respected greatly for the strength they had when they were alive. Perhaps, one day, you too shall be among them, for being the first gladiator to gain their own freedom.
[b]"Before the first duel, both players select a monster that is in their Main Deck to be their "Hero". All copies of that monster will be treated as having double ATK. If any of a player's "Hero" monsters is destroyed by battle or by card effect, the controlling player takes 2000 damage."
5: Run-up :
The corridor is nice and long, and seems to have had the space in the middle cleared. Your monsters will probably be able to get quite a lot of momentum behind them before they attack, and will probably cause serious damage whether they're strong or not.
"If a monster attacks: if its ATK is lower than the ATK of the attack target, the attacking monster gains 1000 ATK during damage calculation only"
6: Fun :
The speaker system activates.
"Ooh, couldn't hold in your energy until you got to the colosseum, could you? No matter, let's have a little fun over here!"
"Roll 3 more dice on this table. Apply all results. Count duplicates, including any 6s, as a result of 1."
