Living Quarters
All of the gladiators live in this one area. You live as brothers, and die as enemies. This is the way you have lived your life since you can remember. The area is one big room, with all the facilities you might need. It's very close to the main arena, and just outside is the garden. There are always many other gladiators in the room.
Area Effect Table :
1: Standard :
You duel as normal. Nothing should go wrong in your own living quarters, right?
2: Violence :
When you start dueling, the other gladiators in the living quarters are somewhat provoked, and chaos ensues. During your duel, fists will be flying elsewhere...
" At the start of each of your turns, except for you first turn: if you control no monsters, take 500 damage."
3: Comrades :
Your friends among the gladiators in the ling quarters come to back you up. The same, however, goes for your opponent. Two clear sides have split the room.
"When all of your monsters on the field are of the same type, they all gain 300 ATK."
4: Taboo :
While the anouncement did state that you could battle anywhere, some places are off limits due to unspoken rules. The disappointed faces of the gladiators around you tell you that you have broken one of these unspoken rules by bringing your fight to the living spaces. They want you to end this fight quickly, or they will end it for you.
"After 30 turns, including both players' turns, the player with the most life points wins the duel. (Not the match)"
5: Home :
You've known this place as your home for such a long time, and now you're fighting as a means to escape to the outside world and begin a real life. It all seems so backwards. Everything here is so familiar, and yet you aren't going to miss it for a second.
"Switch the ATK and DEF of all face-up monsters."
6: Party :
The other gladiators were having a party to celebrate the tokens they were given and their chance at freedom, before you started dueling. They aren't too impressed, but there's certainly a lot going on.
"Roll 3 more dice on this table. Apply all results. Count duplicates, including any 6s, as a result of 1."
