Mini Live Tournaments Begin!
Hey DA, Heatnix here bringing you news on a new live event we'll be hosting from today on: Mini Live Tournaments.
Have any of you been in the middle of organizing a live tournament and ended up wanting to compete but the event gets canceled out of not getting the 8 required players? That is now a thing of the past, for this new Mini version of Live Tournaments will aid you all duel to your hearts content.
To begin a Mini Live Tournament, you only require 4 participants, which is a very accessible number. Rules will apply just like any other Live Tournament, with some deck restrictions decided upon organization as well as following the current ban list in effect.
I understand that some people might consider 4 players to be a short, boring event, but that won't be the case this time around for we have prepared 2 different, optional formats for these competitions:
Double Elimination Tournament and Round Robin.
Double Elimination:
Just like the title implies, you need to lose twice to cease to be eligible to win the tournament. Other than that, rules and scoring are the same as a regular competition. Here's an explanatory table of how Double Elimination would work:
Round Robin:
In a Round Robin format, each player will duel everybody else once. Whoever scores the most points/wins after 3 rounds, wins the event. Here's an explanatory table of how Round Robin would work:
A Mini Live Tournament league has been placed in motion to keep track of events held and participant victories, just like we keep track of the regular Live Tournament.
The reward for the one that comes out victorious during these events will be of 300 DP.
Your mods have been trained on how to organize and run these events, so don't be afraid to request a Mini Live Tournament!

We've also some new ranks (and I'm sure most of you have noticed). The Admin Board went over this several times and, in fact, we're still working on them (til we admit them to be final) to give a breath of fresh air with a modern twist to the board.
