Greetings, Duel Academy.
This is something that I never thought I would ever have to do as an Administrator. However, I am pulling the plug on YCS #5.
I don't like dissolving events in the middle of them. But I feel that we, as a staff, let you down on this event. It wasn't hyped enough, there wasn't enough interest in it, and it does not have the glitz or glamour of a YCS that we are used to. YCS 4 had 72 participants. YCS 5 only had 40.
Even Duel Academy's 5th Regionals had better attendance than this in one of the tournaments, and averaged exactly the same - and the prizes for that one were less than this one.
Because I think it is important to reward the participants who have made it this far, with a token amount of Duel Points - 300 apiece. We will reorganize our efforts into DA 5, which I encourage you all to attend.
