DA on Android!

I have visited a cool site for making instant Android apps so yeah, tried something for you ppl that you can browse DA easier on Mobile, if you don't seek for all the features, this app can come handy to you.

You can download it with widget on the right, u'll see the android icon.

Now, those of you who use phones to visit DA, please try it out and tell me the bugs, mistakes, your experience so that we could maybe make few enhancements too.

I created several key links for you, like chat, external, new posts login etc. Once you login you will be able to post and create new topics as well as login to chat.

If you visit PM or New Posts it will direct you to classic view of our site. So, if you want to go classic view of DA (I heard that was the issue on mobile view, you could not swtich back to classic mode) just visit one of those links and then you can start to browse in classic mode.

So, tell me your opinions, experiences etc. Is it any better than regular mobile mode?

and Jin, the app is not necessarily Classic mode, only if you want to PM or view posts since last visit.

Problem people had with mobile was no login option for many users. FM claimed to have it installed but many ppl don't see it at all. So, the main thing this app enables is to view mobile version with being able to login and actually post. Additionally I included chats too so if you want to chat easily, you can get there faster and don't have to input any links. We all know how writing links is in mobile :D

Nah, google charges 25$ to have developer account to be able to upload your apps there lol.

I might get it on Google Play if I make something hilarious for it lol. But, just for pure browsing of site via app, meh not worth it yet :D

I might make some small game only available through mobile version or so.

That would need a lot of time to code and either way, something like YGO card game on mobile would never be as fun due to cards nature ot have details on them and in such small screen you don't have joy in playing it then :D

But, some rpg or strategy variant of ygo could actually work. The facebook game YGO BAM (very similar to our Dice Game: Dice Encounters) is something different actually and is played a lot.

Well something different needs to be put on market other than a dueling calculator. Perhaps make a better dueling network than ygopro and devpro?

Actually they are already working on a mobile version of yugioh called yugi.o

Didn't know that! Awesome! Someone needs to create something better than ygopro and DN. Maybe combine the two and pray that it doesn't lose connection randomly

You're asking for quite a lot there.

Want me to list you what we need for that?

1) A hosted server. One with 100% uptime preferably. Costs money.
2) A huge SQL database. Yu-Gi-Oh! currently has over 6000 cards, with hundreds of new cards coming in. Not to mention the usernames, accounts, emails, etc. Usually provided by the host if payment is high enough.
3) A working code to interact with other players, as in, server-to-client transmission. No money required but a lot time needed.
4) Actual code with .apk C++ and C# to control user interactions. No money required, but a lot of time is needed to actually develop that. Android is somewhat of a mess, iOS would be easier, though not everyone has iOS. Also remember how many actions there are in Yu-Gi-Oh!
5) A working GUI so that it's not just some white page with cards on them. More SQL space needed.
6) More and more server interactions, timing out, automating draws, and so on. Even more code.

And so on. Shall I continue?
More than one person could possibly do in a few YEARS without proper donation and a proper loan to actually keep working on the project.
And, remember, if we put it up, after working that hard, would you not want money for it? Not everyone has money for apps.
