Xbox definitely doesn't have too many advantages on this cept the cries of it's loyalists. The games didn't bring too much of an impact, and the PS4 being nothing but a prettier PS3 (aka no restrictions), easily took this one.
Half the games the PS3 showed, however, are melodramatic games pretending too hard to be hollywood movies. I disapprove of those games, but at least they showed more support to other games and indies, unlike Microsoft.
When it came down to blows, Sony just bluntly slapped Microsoft over and over by the end of the conference, laying down the law so to speak. From here on now, Microsoft can only move forward stubbornly and learn to not play with fire or take it all back in the next few months or few months after release and patch all it's issues back into a more... let's say "unlocked" version of itself.
Microsoft isn't know to listen to people, hence Windows 8 and the update to bring back the start button. They tried too hard to appeal to what's trendy these days (for hipsters anyway) which are tv series (people obsess too much over these, like Walking Dead and Game of Thrones), so they said hey! we want some of that money!-- but at the same time tried to go for the sports fans, the people that don't even play games that much... but at that point they also tried to keep it's "core gamers" by adding Call of Duty, which is actually a hipster game as well and didn't really bring much appeal cept that of the dog they so hard pushed down our throats.
Even the games announced today for it didn't make any waves in the water, unlike Sony who avidly turned a cross platform into their ending move of the presentation.
What they do not understand yet is that people want to play games. Plain and simple. No need to beat around the bushes, no need to pretend to be hollywood, no need for fancy kinect or for Skynet interconection like Microsoft wants to do. Games. Regular controller. Play games. Plain-and-simple.
Although Sony's new features are garbage and are technically just ribbons to make the system look prettier, they didn't go full greedy nor full retard like Microsoft, who won't see the consequences of their mistakes.
