For a first attempt that's epic. You have a good flow.

For now I'd suggest these things:

Leave out the text, no need to add it while you're not that suited to it.
Read beginner tuts.
Try to find tuts to help with smoother lighting, that's something you're lacking here
Try not to put too much effects above the focal, I'd mostly suggest a solid c4d to help with depth but that's it.
Try not to burn everything as much next time.


But for a beginners work, wow.

Try to make a focus point, mostly it's the place of render where you want to keep attention on. Head of tiger would be a good choice at this work.

How to make it? Well, you generally learn it from tutorials and by examining others' PSD files. Anzo uploaded really good works here. Find them at GFX section. Anyways, there are several ways to create a focus point. For example light source and shadows away from light sources. Blur the work and sharpen the point you want to keep attention on.

They are my ideas and I'm not a wise about GFX :D As bakura normal said above, "But for a beginners work, wow."

No e.e I just used Grunge Brushes and another set from devianart for background, then colored it and added render.
