Tachyon locks down effects on the field, as it negates whatever is already on the field. Which is also why I love it. It also gains 1000 more attack for each effect activated by your opponent on your turn after detaching, and gains an additional attack. Damn, you scary.
Heliopolis is a popper, like Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Bear. He's good for getting rid of those pesky cards like safe zone. But you go ultra minus in card economy by tributing all your monsters. Unless your playing Hieratics, which is cool.
Number 15: Gimmick Puppet - Giant Killer has an effect that only works on special summoned monsters. It gains bigger advantage through XYZ monsters, but has a not so great attack and a good defense. However, its effect is mediocre as other monsters can do jobs better. Heliopolis can destroy backrow AND monsters. Giant Killer can only take down special summoned monsters.
Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon has a pretty crap effect unless your facing a XYZ oriented deck. The cost of 3 level 8 monsters is pretty high to summon it, and its negation effect only works if you used Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon as a material. It's a better anti-xyz effect than Giant Killer, that's for sure. Being able to detach all XYZ materials from your opponent's monsters, and then gaining 500 atk and being able to attack for each material detached. Plus, it's already a 4500 beater.
Coach King Giantrainer is just fun to use. :D Plus, free draws!
Number 22: Zombiestein has an excellent effect. Being a 4500 beater, and requiring two Dark Monsters of level 8, it can negate any monster's effect during either player's turn, at the cost of being switched to defense mode. This leaves it vulnerable, as it only has 1000 defense.
Ouch. But that's so good!
Number 40: Gimmick Puppet of Strings has a quick destruction effect that works if your opponent decides to leave the monsters on the field alive until their end phase. Be warned that this effect destroys your own monsters as well.
Number 88: Gimmick Puppet of Leo has a win condition effect. Fun, but hard to pull off and you cannot do damage to your opponent with its 3000 attack.
Thunder End Dragon destroys all monsters on the field except itself. 'Nuff said. But two level 8 NORMAL monsters might be difficult (except for Hieratics) to pull off.
Trashy-Eyes Fat Dragon is a beater with a self-reviving effect. What a betch.
Basically a review of all Rank 8 monsters that are on Dueling Network.
