Spike + Dragoon

Asking for rulings.

Scenario: I Normal Summon Spike and use its Optional Trigger effect, discard Dragoon. I can get both Level 3 Water monster ans Sea Serpent-Type monster, right? Since Dragoon's effect is Mandatory Trigger, and Effect of Spike is the last thing happens, there will be no missing timing.

No timing will be missed. Dragoons is mandatory, so their is no way it can possibly miss timing, and Dragoons wont mess up Spike either.

Spike has already activated and you have paid the cost, yes this will trigger dragoons for a later time, but first, the first effect (or chain if you opponent chained) resolves, meaning Spike will get your level 3, now the triggered dragoons resolves.
