So heres the deal. Probably many players thought forgetton types like Sea serpent and thunder would never have their own competitve deck type. But they were wrong. With new consistent deck types like Mermail and Hunders that support older themes, there seems to be a competitive deck for every Type AND Attribute.

Who thinks so?

No more respect for the Blue Eyes. The first rule of deck building is ditch your Blue-Eyes White Dragon. Second rule of deck building ditch the other two Blue-Eyes White Dragons.

Deck building isn't really based off of types and attributes any more. Gameplay now revolves around either w in condition (i.e. Exodia) or an archetype. Granted, you'll see some type based decks, but even those tend to include archetypes.

Nothing is considered competitive other than E-Drags right now. E-Drags>Tele DAD.

The only type/attribute play that I see is the rare Generation Fish, or just Fish Turbo. This goes off of FlyingHigh's post; most are actually just archetypes.

Yea, because prophecy's are garbage and don't have a card that lets them +10 after their plays.... oh wait

E-Drags are OCG, they won't matter after May 17th. At the moment it's normal to play the deck since most of the games are TCG/OCG. After the new pack comes to the TCG, E-drags won't be played that much - only by the nabs of DN.

Play against Elemental Dragons with Prophecy and see what happens. LaDD turn 1 and - I'm so happy, it's unbelievable - over all your Spell Books. Game 2, they side in 3 EEV. bye bye.

lol

blue eyes exodia utilizes WSOTL with cards of consonance, and Blue Eyes with trade in, as well as super rejuvenation and hand destruction.

only problem is, it's not too consistent.

The LaDD play takes a lot of resources, if you can't back it up with Super Rejuvenation you won't have a single card in hand or just one (not really sure if 1 or 0) in your EP.
And if the Prophecy player draws into a copy of Junon - LaDD dies and the Spellbook player gets an auto win on the EP with Kycoo/Jowgen.
